Yarrr, here be dragons. I mean… Here are some external links to other sites containing useful information for editing the third Doom game:

http://www.iddevnet.com - id’s developer network, currently covering the Doom 3 SDK.
http://www.doom3world.org - long-running Doom 3 site covering just about everything (hence the name), run by BNA!.
http://blaze.spicelab.net/doom3/ - collection of tutorials aimed at beginners (some singleplayer focus).
http://www.doom3maps.de - German Doom 3 mapping site (thanks burzum).
http://www.qeradiant.com/wikifaq/index.php?DOOM3%20Level%20Editing - radiant wiki FAQ thing (thanks zig-zag).

Zombie: if you want, I’ve also just made online three beginner-level tutorials on GUI scripting and using the official editor on d3w, they may also be of help…

Here (forgive the pimping):

Complete GUI Scripting - 0: A GUI script primer

Complete GUI scripting - 1: Your first GUI script
http://www.doom3world.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=3128

Complete GUI Scripting - 2: Using the built-in GUI editor

Here (forgive the pimping):

Pimping is forgiven hehe Those are actually really nice tuts and are a great help! Thanks for posting that nakedape!

Thanks nakedape, and torchy, really. :stuck_out_tongue:

I just would like to add that there are many other tutorials on the rest of doom3world.org’s forums too, and even the fourth lesson in that gui series has been posted… and others will follow soon.

We finally launched our Doom³ Editing Section too.
You get Video-Tutorials (VTM) and Textstuff.
Site: www.level-designer.de
Video-Section: http://www.level-designer.de/index.php?option=com_remository&Itemid=37&func=selectcat&cat=14

Text-Section: http://www.level-designer.de/index.php?option=content&task=category&sectionid=2&id=38&Itemid=27

All the Stuff is in German, but the vtm’s are understandable (i hope so).

Also, 3dbuzz now has a dozen good tutorials covering d3 mapping… and free.
