exporting a texture into ET

well I made a model for an ammobox and It works in et… the model part…
but the skin doesn’t work… I’ve made the model in 3ds max 6.0… but some guy told me to set the material as a shader path… (?) so instead of materialxx models/multiplayer/supplies/ammobox.tga how do I do this??? is it doable in max? or…?

Leave the .tga out and make a proper shader for your texture.

I think his problem is that he doesn’t know how to change the material name in Max. I’ve used shadernames with .tga in them with no problems - I guess the engine ignores the extension if it finds a shader.

Kink, clicking on the material name should make it editable. You should just need to change it to “models/multiplayer/supplies/ammobox” or whatever.

Ive tried all of that… I spend 5 hours on it yesterday night and finally came up with the Id 2 use milkshape and TADA it works… thnax anyways guys
ill set up a link when the mod is a bit better

I changed from piggy to piggeh cos of another piggy on qnet/q3f who was a kid about the nick situation. Then changed to pgh then to kink3h for gaming online, keeping pgh for my domain and irc. Peeps whined at me cos of teh pr0 kiNko so I figured KiNK would do me… now its not!!1 :smiley:

No problems with 3ds … hmm and I don´t like milkshape :disgust:
Have you tried good material name eg. models/multiplayer/ammo/kink_ammobox ?? (I don´t know your texture name or path just for reference…

Yer tried it but somehow it didn’t work… but milk is good enough… nice inport export shizle
