explosive counter

would like to see a ability/gadget called edf (explosion Dampening field)

Would be similar to putting down a healing station and have a area of effect.

would act as a shield /blocker of explosives .

Would Have limited health /duration.

imo the explosives are somewhat op with the size of maps .

Having a dampening field would allow for more gunfights and less explosive deaths :slight_smile:

any thoughts or opinions please/ty

Explosives are usually a great choice for taking out an Aura with healing station+mercs around it, if you were to put one of these EDFs right next to it, you can’t take the whole thing out with a frag nade ? You would have to peek all the people just to shoot the EDF and then still take out the healing station and all the mercs?

could be a personal shield also .not a deployable item :slight_smile:

For every merc? Absolutely not. It would have to be an ability for a new merc. There are no universal abilities beyond help up and slower objective abilities for non engineers and this is the way it should be. Especially not one to counter certain mercs.

There’s a limit in place to stop stacking deployables, so obvious solution would be to have a limit so that you can’t put this EDF next to an Aura camp.

I kind of agree, there are so many explosives right now, a counter to explosives merc would just be interesting.

So unshakable, but not a perk. Meh. Idk. If explosives pev’ you off that much just invest in unshakable.

I think he’s probably is like with many players and he’s getting sick of the instagib. Only problem I have with explosives to be honest. No real issue with avoiding them though.

Bomb Squad, Unshakeable, mercs with high HP. All these help if explosives bother you. Hell, you can even use Phantom, he has armour.
