Explain why this isn't pay to win

(PeneTraitor) #21

I got called p2w for my obsidian fragger. I told them to pound sand and I paid when the game was B2P.

This game is more like “Experience to win”

My friend unlocked 1 merc with his credits. Fletcher. Decided to master him, and now he’s unstoppable. So, Skill to win?

(xAvenger) #23

Yep, I had two bronze loadouts after the first week of playing, and still using those loadouts now. Purchased all but the starter pack of mercs with credits. Not pay 2 win. What would that individual call Call of Duty or BF? You have to pay 60 bucks for what you get with that game. This game you can start for free and still win.

(Dawnlazy) #24

You can easily get a new merc+loadout card in 1 week if you are smart and do the missions. Just start playing a bit before they reset so you can get those 3 + the next 3, then play another short session 3 hours later just to get the other ones done. Now compare to a game like Hearthstone where if you’re lucky you can grind half of a deck in 3 months.

(Amerika) #25

I assume the BF series still does this but they allow you to play to unlock your skill trees per class or you can pay to unlock them. Loadouts are basically the same thing except you didn’t pay $60 for Dirty Bomb also.

(xAvenger) #26

@Amerika I am not really familiar with BF and the trees, so that part may not make sense. The whole point is that in order to ‘win’ with those games, you have to pay $60.00. You have to buy the game, or no ‘win’ at all. You can win at DB for $0

(Verticules) #27

Dirty Bomb is as Much Pay to Win as LoL is. That’s what I tell people.

(Tanker_Ray) #28

Oh nooooooo!!! bronze card’s woodland skin is too strongk! nerf dat thing plz

and soon, the power of bronze will rule the whole lands of Dirty Bomb…

afterall, blaming cobalt cards for losing.

poor brain cells…

(Enzo) #29

If he thinks this is a pay2win game I already know this moron 101% doesn’t know how 2 objective. So please stay away from the game.

Don’t even bother trying to dissuade him better of hitting your head on a wall.

(Jostabeere) #30

Rune pages and runes for real money much? Also LoL is heavily P2W. Every new champion since years is intended to be op so people pay real money to win with him and then he get nerfed. Like Phantom, kinda.

(Grave_Knight) #31

Let me guess, Envy, found another Anger John P2W lol-so-funny troll on the Steam Forum. Really shouldn’t read those damn things. They’re the same damn post, only with variations of stupidity.

So… technically he’s correct?

(Vinos) #33

Ayy lmao

(Verticules) #34

@laudatoryLunch I haven’t played LoL in ages. You can buy runes with rp now? Then never mind.

(Jostabeere) #35

YOu could do it years ago.

(Aazhyd) #36

I got all mercs and good loadouts for all of them. Haven’t paid a single cent so far. Been playing for about 6 months.

But you don’t need all mercs, you can even do good with the starters.

(diamondArcher) #37

I was lucky enough to get a Cobalt in my first few days playing with a free elite case. I have then defied the odds and received 2 more from normal cases. I don’t use any of them as I don’t like the loadouts but still manage to top or close to in every game. Yep those Cobalts are game changers.
