I don’t even know how…

Yet again one good reason to ditch the idiotic MMORPG-originated “overall levels” crap system. Teams were seemingly fine point-wise, k/d wise, your side even won.
So what is the “phenomenon” here exactly that you’re referring to?

In general I loosely base skill on level because it’s an indicator showing how long you’ve played the game which in turn shows if you understand game mechanics and PTFO. I can’t explain how we won besides the enemy team was just feeling very very lazy that match…
thats nothing
plenty of times i got matched with lvl <20 only against teams with 4 or more lvl >40
even teams with 3 lvl 90’s against my team with max lvl 40 occured more than once
I honestly do my best to not judge by levels until I play with the people. I don’t find level to be a good indicator of player skill anymore due to the increasing number of smurf accounts I have come across. Some DB players are starting new accounts. plus I have found some more experienced FPS players also taking a shot at DB more and more. Level is just no longer a completely reliable thing for me personally.
So what you’re saying is you’re shocked in your favor. I’m not, because the game has a serious shortcoming when it comes to play balance. I’m still putting together material to document this, but notice the latency distribution. Notice anything particular? There’s actually something more to this than just latency and it has something to do with having the “magic ping of 60ms” or roughly 55~60ms. I don’t have enough tangible evidence to support my theory yet and there can still be refutable arguments or counterclaims, but due to how the game was coded in UE, it is worth noting that player skill and hardware being removed as a performance factor latencies close to 60ms will have an advantage.
