Execution

(Ballto) #1

I was thinking maybe this should go in map discussion, if @Ardez or @Amerika are around and think that i was right please move it if you would be so kind.

Its less on the execution maps, overground and market, and more on the game mode.

The problem i and quite a few people i have spoken to about it think that execution is an “okay” game mode, but its annoying that we need to do the same god damn map 7-12 times.

My suggestion is that after every round, we get pushed into a new area. The maps are still overground and execution, but it flows like trainyard for example, where you blow one pylon and the gate opens to a new area. The clock resets to 2 minutes and a new person gets a bomb and you go to do your execution thing, then the map resets when the teams swap.

They could implement a spawn system like insurgency has, everyone has one life per objective. Say you need to go capture Alpha in insurgency, and your team mate gets hit by something and dies. He does not respawn, but when you capture alpha (and possibly finish a counter attack) he will respawn, and then you move to Bravo. It might make execution a bit more enjoyable to everyone, but it would obviously take a lot of work and would be low priority. Maybe new execution maps can come out specifically designed like this.

That would be neat, but a lot of additional work and balancing. Not sure the devs would be up to reworking all of that AND producing new content for Stopwatch. I’d rather see the core game, stopwatch, get more love.

And it isn’t as bad as CS:GO is on repetitiveness. 8-16 games for casual and 16-30 for ranked. Up to 90 minutes to finish one game if you are unlucky :(.

What you are talking about overall would be quite a bit of work and I don’t think it would be a good fit for DB.

I SiegeFace, a person of no value or influence, Approve this idea.

There’s no reason that they can’t combine the two going forward. Battlefield death match uses existing maps, but blocks off a section of it.
