So let’s discuss it here.
Execution maps are a refreshing change of pace. They are extremely big and open. There are many alternate routes and catwalks. There are very few invisible walls - Objective maps are plastered with them. It’s a delight to walljump through them. It also feels stealthy instead of the usual meat grinder. Footsteps are important. Outmaneuvering an enemy is hugely rewarding.
I wonder what’s the meta going to be. Medics are obviously very valuable. So are long range weapons and snipers. I suspect faster mercs are going to gain value, too. Kira in particular is a good balance of long range power and speed. But while Fragger is slow, he has a fantastic opportunity to for long range handgrenade kills.
Many engineer abilities are bad, though. Proxy mines can be heard from miles away and I struggle to think of good applications. Turrets are not so good - they’re noisy, and there are so many places to go.
Because Execution is unlocked at level 1, many players are very noobish. The maps are large and complex, I’m sure that must feel intimidating for them.
