Exact Damage Reduction when shooting legs

(Tanker_Ray) #1

Our glorious forum mod @Ardez did a experiment for this when I asked for exact limb shot damage long time ago,

but now I found out what’s the exact damage reduction rate after experiencing various weapon’s leg shot damage.

Damage reduction is exactly opposite to SNITCH, which is -25%.

It’s not really THAT important to auto-firing weapons, but it gives huge influence to harder hitting/single shot guns.

Grandeur does 30 dmg to the leg, so you can still kill 110HP merc with two body shot or one headshot + leg shot,

but not 120 hp merc.

MOA does exactly 56 dmg to the leg, still able to kill 110hp merc with two leg shots. Thunder can sustain THREE leg shots of MOA.

Felix does 59 dmg to the leg, can not kill 120hp merc with two leg shots.

PDP does 34 dmg(33.75), which is same as S/W revolver. PDP is best female merc killer gun in this game, but you can’t kill 80/90 HP merc with two shots if you shot the leg one time.

Dreiss does exactly 20 dmg.

Didn’t tested all guns, by getting shot by other guns but well, besides all of that, moral of the story is

don’t shoot the legs as possible. :stuck_out_tongue:

You deal 8dmg with MK.46 to the leg! That’s basically Empire-9 XD

I will soon write a post about how effective the base damage(Raw numbers) of each weapons are.

Basically it is just calculating of how much over damage is caused.

For example, K-121’s 17dmg base dmg might leave 120HP merc alive with 1HP if you shot him 7 times.

17 x 7 = 119, so 16dmg is wasted.

Or Grandeur needs same three shots when killing 120HP merc and 90 HP merc.(30 over dmg caused. Very effective when shooting 120hp merc, but very inefficient when shooting 90HP merc.)

Cheers All Dbers !

Thanks for the post!

I am still not sure how the rounding works entirely, cause i was under the impression that bullets can do different damage values (ignoring damage fall off over distance!).

Would be interesting to see if you get down rounded all the time, that the nth bullet gets uprounded to compensate.

Been years that i cared for this stuff and honestly forgot and didnt care, but i was under the impression that there is rounding in both ways.

Addition: ※ Note that shooting SNITCHed target’s leg do not deal the same damage when you shoot the body.

@FireWorks

Any digits under 0.5, or 0.5 itself is abandoned.

0.55, or 0.6, I am not sure.

About the damage fall off, SD never told us how it’s exactly calculated.

If we had any information about weapon’s min dmg, I would have calculated the dmg drop off ratio to distance, but the problem is

Only Shotguns, and MPs’ min dmgs that were revealed by SD is clear about their minimum damage.

Shotguns = 1 dmg

ex.) MP400 = 6 dmg, MP9 = 4 dmg.

This is just me myself assuming, but what I’m bit sure about is

Weapon’s min dmg is half of the base dmg.

So for example, M4 has 26m range with 14 base dmg.

Thus, when shooting over 52m range, you deal 7 dmg.(Still not clear.)

If SD reveals the min dmg, I am sure we can calculate the exact digits when the dmg is decreased by rounding up.

It’s so frustrating getting 3 hits on a Skyhammer with Grandeur and watch him walk away

(Dysfnal) #5

Git gud and stop hitting limbs

On a serious note, hitting a dibbed aura in the foot with the Fel-ix doesn’t kill her

(Tanker_Ray) #6

@responsibleKangaroo

Well he will never die with that unless he has 110HP. Sad.

@Dysfnal

It is not true.

After the Bolt-action sniper rifle rework done last year’s CW update,

MOA and Felix is able to one-shot any downed target, regardless of remaining HP while lying.

May be it’s just an ping error, or you shot her a BIT later while she was reviving.(very short invinciblity)

Bolt actions are so good at Finishing targets though.

That’s why Vas and Aimee can be limited-counter to Sparks nowadays.

(Dysfnal) #7

@THUNDA I didn’t say downed, I said dibbed, as in debilitated, I should have been more clear though

791.25.75=~74
which does not kill an aura, shame.
