So what about this: make reloading actually WASTE any ammo you have left in the magazine you just changed. Not just for realism, would actually be a subtle way to nerf the medics. Now those silly medic fluffers will have to be more careful so they don’t run out of ammo too quick! Doh, so you only have 2 magazines? Life’s a bitch! am i evil or what…

Good thing, since it isn’t more realistic than the current system. In the real world, a sensible person would just put the half used clip in their pocket or something, and either re-use it when things got desperate, or combine all the partly used ones when they got a quiet moment.

It’s a poor way to gimp medics too. There are much more direct ways to do that…

just take away the ability for the medics to shoot! then when we get in a 1v1 with a med the only thing we have to worry about is them trying to OD us with syringes :wink:

maybe the aiming down the sight thing could be made into a mod that server admins could add if they wanted to and then we can spam the forums with topics like “omg why do servers run that crappy mod!” and gonzoboi can sit there defending it :slight_smile:

the losing partial clips works well in bf, but only because ammo is generally highly plentiful. the ammo boxes are unlimited, and each contested point usually has severl of them scattered about. whereas in et its either get from a fops, dead bodies, or ammo cabinets that are either well out of the way of the fighting or are generally empty a few minutes into a round.

i think that with so much score you can get extra health in the form of medipacks like a medic only you get a set ammount of packs for yourself or teammates rather than them of the charge bar

develop bots for the “MP” maps that are so fucking realistic and human-like that i never have to play online against humans again :slight_smile:

that would mean never again facing another cheater, which is the bane of online gaming. i mean lets face it, why do we play MP? its for the trash talking, and DONT say its not! its ALL about knowing u pissed off a real human when u killed him.

thats all great, but if i have to deal with cheaters anymore i’ll just quit MP (which i have to a degree already).

so, my wish is frighteningly realistic AI :smiley:

ps dont respond to my cheat accusations unless u want to agree with me :slight_smile: its always been and always will be, just like 'roids in sports.

on another note, i’ve recently been sending an assload of cheats to evenbalance, but they don’t do jack shit. i think its time for a medieval anticheat system. similar to the VAC 5 year bans, but combined with the PB hardware bans. if u cheat even one time on one server in one game, your COMPUTER is banned from playing on ANY server for ANY game that is covered by that particular anticheat, for 5 years :D:D:D:D:D

this would of course do virtually nothing to end cheating, but it would pose a vastly more difficult challenge, so that only the most geeky of losers could do it, and only after spending several weeks of hardcore coding, locked away in their bedrooms with their mothers carting their meals to them. in which case they almost will have earned the right to cheat in games, since they will have essentially forfeited any and all possibilities of a sex life :slight_smile:

firstly if MP’s are for trash talking why do u do it here?

secondly i play to meet new ppl who share the same interests in gaming as me and have fun playing against my friends online and im sure many others do. Though the chance to p*ss u off by killing u online is pretty tempting :wink:

i wrote a lot more but i deleted it as i realised i was only posting it to pretty much start an arguement/flame whatever :slight_smile:

if MP gaming is not about the human aspect of it, then why not just play against bots? because it IS about the humans, thats why :slight_smile: a bot will never feel owned by you, and you can never feel like you really owned a bot. games are competition, whether it be ET, basketball, or checkers. it’s about beating another human and seeing the look in their eyes when they realize they’ve been bested by you. or in the case of MP games, its about hearing them cry “omg hax!” then you get to reply with smileys and various misspellings of words that suggest they are an inferior being :slight_smile:

Sorry, I have to disagree - if I want to pwn people I play deathmatch - that’s what it’s there for. I play team games because I enjoy playing in a team against another team :slight_smile:

Wils, I agree. That’s why I love ET - the teamplay. But if the other team was all bots it wouldn’t be the same, now would it? :wink:

Knowing your team kicked the other teams hiney is what it’s all about. Whether it be personal pwnage or team pwnage, it’s still about pwning other humans and shaming them. :slight_smile:

I have to agree with that scary skinhead ouroboro above, multiplayer fps games are all about pwning and insulting other people’s sexuality and mistyping insults on the console. If you can’t be bothered to join a clan cause you have, or plan to have, a life, then you’re better off attempting mindless mayhem rather than trying to accomplish some kind of teamwork. Pubs are painful proof that spontaneous collective intelligence does not exist. I still enjoy single player games like Call Of Duty a lot, and become more immersed and excited about the game, probably because bots dont use nades to do trickjumps or run towards you with a panzer or block your way out of the spawn to feed you ammo and score some lousy xp.
