Ever been asked to leave a server because of your level?

(pinkOrchid) #1

Hi

Sometimes I have seen this happen and now it happened to me. I played 5 or 6 matches on a server with a good mix of levels. suddenly I was the only double digit player left and some of the other players started asking me to leave them alone. Nevermind the fact that I was there before them?

I understand what they mean but I think they are wrong. The best way to learn is by playing against better players.

On a sidenote. My own noob story was that I didnt get that there were other games modes so for the first 8 levels I played only execution. I know, start laughing. That experience taught me a lot about how to die in this game and how not to. My recommendation for new players out there is to grind execution in the beginning. You will learn teamplay, you will learn that running straight ahead is not a good strategy.

All the time. I just want to get missions done and leave honestly. Min 30 when?

(farmakoxeris.exe) #3

yeap, seems db (public games) is for low lvls, low skill. and since when a 30-50 lvls player is a high lvl, when there are many ppl out there above 50lvl…?

(Shirobon) #4

Hey I remember playing against you yesterday. You were a cobalt Nader weren’t you?

Anyway I have a friend who is level 60 and was often asked:

“Why does a level 60 come in here to annoy new/low level players?”

He had the perfect response.

He just said: “Because it’s a public server.”

No one dared to respond after.

(neverplayseriou) #5

asked? nope. Harassed to try and get me to leave, yup.

(farmakoxeris.exe) #6

yeah i own a cobalt nader that i use, so prob it was me!

well if u ask me there is no other place for someone more than 30lvls to go than pugs, scrims.

imo ppl under 5lvls should be forced to play at max lvl 5 servers

also ppl with 10-30 lvls should be forced to play at equal servers

and they should create min lvl30 servers at least for the rest

btw i am having serious problem to understand why public gaming is equal to complete nonsense gaming…

I’ve been told to be ashamed of myself!

(MarsRover) #8

Multiple times. In many languages. I’m only level 48.

shameless plug

(bontsa) #10

Yep. Lvl60+ with a coal-fueled turnip machine running game as a powerpoint presentation here. If levels are brought up in discussion, I apparently should gtfo (where I might request the asker to kindly datobo) or “git gut” since apparently I should’ve level rewarded aimbot and ESP etc. by now.

(Matuno) #11

At least a few times a week, much more when I’m in a gaming high and performing too well.
Lvl 72 or so.

EDIT: Typical reply is “I just pick a server and play, no questions asked. You should try that too.”

(Haki) #12

yes. and if they don’t blame me, they blame the “stupid matchmaking”.
In pubs.

(watsyurdeal) #13

Yep, and you know what I tell them?

No, the mighty FPS Gods need sacrifices.

(Occult) #14

happens alot, its annoying loading in and seeing a vote kick for myself.
normally there low lvls, clan on one side or people trying to farm.

(FireWorks) #15

I got a lot of heat for being high level.

When getting asked in a friendly or neutral way at the beginning of a round I say good bye and leave.
It is a positive surprise when people show manners and kindness. Would be a good reason to actually stay, just for a chat at least. Paradox:)

(Rjsto) #16

Once, I answered “lol”, that was pretty much the end of that encounter

(doxjq) #17

I’ve never been asked to leave but I’ve been abused quite a bit for having no life and being a total loser with too much spare time, apparently, despite working full time with many hobbies in real life too haha.

Which is kind of concerning, because I am only level 43. Some people just thrive to be dickheads on the internet, you’ll never avoid it man.

(Mc1412013) #18

No just for playing vassili or because I got into a fight with some one being a dick

Same thing happened to me with the only playing Execution at first. Definitely helped me too. I’m almost level 17 with 206 hours for reference.

My typical response is, “You started playing this game a week ago and I started playing it a year ago so I’m obviously going to have a higher level.”

For some reason there are a lot of people out there who believe they are the center of the universe and they think that just because they have only been doing something for a short while that means everyone else has too. They have no concept of time and don’t understand that people have been playing for months or even years longer than they have.
