EvacZone Clan Cup

Date: 12th October 2013

Rules:

  • MAPPOLL FOR THIS CUP: WHITECHAPEL, WATERLOO, TRAINYARD
  • Each Team-captain must come to EvacZone Teamspeak 15 minutes before the cup starts and will be given instructions on which server their team will be playing. If you are REALLY not able to come to TS for whatever reason, drop me a PM asap.
  • No spectators to be watching if they are in the same teamspeak channel as either team.
  • No abuse or exploiting of bugs.
  • If your team is 10 minutes late we will assume you are not going to be playing and move their opponent through to the next round. If you have 5 on the server an admin to force start the game wether you are ready or not!
  • You must have 5 players to compete.

How the cup will work:

  • The tournement will be single elimination.
  • Every round apart from the grand final will be best of one map. Maps to be decided once we know how many teams are participating.
  • The grand final will be best of 3 maps. The map list is: Trainyard, Waterloo, Whitechappel. Each team picks a map each. The remaining mp will be used as a decider if needed.
  • You will receive instructions when your next game is and what server. If you are waiting to play please do not join the private servers.
  • To avoid delays, the captains must remain on the evaczone teamspeak so they are able to sort out their next match.

Double elim would mean the winner of the lower brackets would go on to face the winners of the upper which would mean another 4 -6 matches to be played. This is simply if you lose first round you drop to a different set of brackets so each team gets more than just one map each.

The brackets are distributed incorrectly then, it should be 1st and 4th in the top pairs and 2nd and 3rd in the bottom pairs.

Maybe you was a 4th seed then. I didn’t check I just removed the mixed NA team and published these brackets.

Ok, but now i believe that the intercontinent games are unplayable for lowpingers. The netcode feels broken and the people stating that were right. SD should feel it on themselves when they play vs Emoticons, I expect.

EUSA, what about playing both matches on US server? :wink:

I have said this for a while but people just pretend I am crazy! I find it easier to stay alive when I have a high ping. I also feel my bullets are uneffected by the high ping. I was playing with some packet loss a few months ago with some people and I remember even toomic mentioning that I was unhittable with the high ping. Might turn torrents on to play :smiley:

That’s because it is not easy to notice when pub server is full and GPU lags therefore anyways, plus when it’s only one-two highpingers on a server (diluted by lowpingers).
But when playing vs 75% of highpingers with under 10 people on server it just becomes obvious.

Keep in mind this is beta guys and has nothing to do with serious comp. in a released and well balanced game. Even if the netcode is far away from perfect.

As you can see, we have also added 3rd/4th place games so EVERY team tonight gets to play the 1st and second round followed by a best of 3 match to decide where you finish. On the downside, due to me having an awful setup there will be no cast this evening. I do plan on buying a new microphone asap and getting some done sometime soon. Sorry :frowning:
