The people that fix the EV will know what I’m talking about. So, you start off normal, wanting to go fix the EV as the game tells you and so on, but, If you got really close to the EV (character touching the EV) and started holding your A/D keys to move left/ right you would start to glitch left and right while sticking to the EV. I don’t know for how long this glitch has been in the game but it really is a pain when repairing the objective and you forget that you shouldn’t go too close to the EV or else you’ll be gliding left and right.
It’s a well known bug, probably one of the most mentioned, apparently it’s been looked into and is really difficult and time consuming to fix, so has always ended up being postponed, maybe one day.
We proposed 2 possible quick dirty fixes:
Reduce the size of the EV to a size of a shopping cart so players can pass through a wider gap, reducing the chances of making contact to the EV
Increase the size of the path the EV travels (remove obstacles as well), thereby increasing the real estate of the map. This is a more tedious solution than the former.
I do sometimes think that SD is running low on money so they’re leaving these things in for when the money comes to the company, then they will work towards fixing/ adding . I came to that thought process because their focus isn’t DB anymore, or at least it’s on hold untill they finish developing their new game so then that game can bring some money to, as said earlier, to the company and then fix what needs to be fixed
But how does that fix the sling shot effect while repairing it
It doesn’t. Objective Specialists will have to put up with it in the mean time.
Quick and dirty fixes aren’t a one time fix. Sometimes, to fix a problem you need to think of unconventional fixes.
