So the idea is the EV moves always but its speed is depending on the damage done.
At 0% its just a turtle and very slow, at 100% its “full” speed.
Engineers are the only guys able to repair it up to 100%, everyone else something between 20-80%.

i agree with this, it will help with the issue of the EV getting killed right at the end and being impossible to repair to 100%
Awesome idea!
Allow the engi to repair before it is down to 0%. Too many teams leave the EV at 3% until a certain point of the map to create a nasty choke point.
It’s been proposed last year and I think SD back then acknowledged they were experimenting with that.
Not sure what happened to it. EV is a difficult objective to balance, we learned that much from ETQW.
I think the core issue that I have with it is not being able to repair until it is broken… Even if you decide to not do it this way I would at least like to be able repair the ev when its damaged. because right not getting it down to 1% and waiting till its in a good position is just so strong of a tactic. Even more so since they increased the effectiveness of the MG nests.
it would also combat the multiple FO in public play.
However I think the repair should stick to speed for engies and not hard limits like suggested in the original post.
O I would obviously have the initial repair at the start of the matches.
Damage to the EV was also discussed last night after the draft and I think I speak on behalf of everyone who was involved in the convo by saying the inconsistency in damaging the EV with different weapons is immense.
This is the thing I suggested that everyone seemed happy with:
These are just thoughts, not saying they are correct but would be nice to see realism incorporated into teh damage done to the EV. Unless it is made of paper in which case bullets should hurt it!
I always found it odd that you can’t repair the EV while it’s moving, looking at it from a non gameplay position. That said I think it would be too easy if you could keep repairing it en route.
Hey man, that’s just company policy. The insurance doesn’t cover maintenance so it’s not going to reimburse.
