Europén League - Test - Join!

We have an turnament running and It’s damn fun!
I would like to get some more games running with the “competition” edge to the game.

I’m looking for some players that would like to try a league mode.
The rules are as follow:

1.0
5-6 players in one League
1.1
You join by saying so in THIS tread.
1.2
You are asked to be active!
This is for the respect of the fellow gamers.
1.3
This is a WORLD LEAGUE , everybody are welcome to join. (if you are able to play 26p matches)
1.4
One League are supposed to be completely played during ONE week, starting Monday and ending Sunday.
This should apply until we find a better way… first start is set to 28/1 or as soon as we have 5-6 players announced.

2.1
The games are 26p.
2.2
No more than 1 of each character are allowed in the League games.
(this is for the start so all can have a better chance, low point player and high point player… and how many RAD BUX you have spent…)

3.1
The games will be played with 1 home game and 1 away game agains every player
3.2
The HOME player gets to pick any of the standard maps (not expansion maps)
3.3
Every game counts as an INDIVIDUAL match!
3.4
Players can invite all opponents at the same time if they like.
The matches don’t have to be played in a specific order.

4.1
Points are 3 for win, 1 for draw and 0 for loss
4.2
The games are set to MAX 20 rounds
4.3
If 20 rounds are played following rule apply;
Nr of held rockets decides the winner. If the players has the same nr of rockets it counts as a tie.

5.1
The league are displayed in THIS tread.
Games are reported by simply adding a post.
(exemple: Domm-Radman 0-1 ; giving Radman 3p)
5.2
If anyone has objections to scores its good to be able to show Prt Sc.
5.3
I will try to summon the score one time every day.

6.1
I (Domm) make the rules… if something needs to be added :wink:
6.2
All Players in the League has the democratic right to make chances and add rules.
6.3
New rules can apply after every League.
6.4
Rules are decided by voting. One player = One Vote.

7.1
If we are able to make more than one League (witch I hope…) the winner goes up one “division” and the loser goes down.

The number two (runner-up in the lower division) goes a qualifiers match against the second last player (in the upper division).
The winner stays/level up , the loser goes down/stay.
BEST of 3 matches
(here is a problem with time…maybe have to find another way. ) ))))
This DO NOT apply for the moment because of the number of players in joined

7.3
The starting League are set to be the Top division.

(Exemple;

The last player in the table will go down to League 2 in the end of the week.

When reporting scores, do something like this;

Then its easy to sum the scores for an update of the table!!
(L2 meaning League 2)

and remember to enjoy …both loosing and winning…

It will total be 8 games/ player, shouldn’t be any problem it we start tomorrow evening …

Any one eager to play?

In my wildest dreams we can start of with this one and hopefully we can continue running it.
When more players are added we simply start one more “division” and then we are going up/down.
One division should be played in 7 days or lesser.

Come on! Join. !
I really think we need something added to this game, I looked at the ranking on Appstore (Sweden)… number 176 on free strategic games, a shame.

I had a rather similar idea to keep the tournament style games going until it gets implemented in the game, but your conditions sound a little harsh

maybe we should try and find a consens of rules and organisation instead of your point 6.1 :slight_smile:

I would need a bit more time, even though I am in europe too I would make it international
26sp would be fun, but I would add the rule not to use the same character twice in one team, might help the balancing and would be fair to newer players with less money…

What I meant with this was initial to get a test running asap!
Of course I would like to see more people involved.
But I think If we run all the details now we will not start playing any time soon!

The thing with playing around the world is that there is few hours of possibly playing a couple of rounds.
If you play with people within the same timezone the games runs faster.

Open it up internationally and you’ll get more players. I for one play throughout the day and only sleep 5 hours a day. And I’m pretty sure PERRIX is kidding.

hmm , had just read the tournaments treads to see what we need to change to get this going.
The first thing is to make world wide, I will also cancel the first “try out” League.

And regarding PERRIX, I hope he´s serious, I have spent the afternoon trying to raise money…

I will make a new set-up for the League this evening, anyone interested in joining please say so.
(If I count myself, Vader, PERRIX, Sandpuppy and RazerFrazer we have full League… !!)
I think that one League group should be 5-6 players and run for a week, than players move up/down. (if we can get more players to join)

A problem to solve are players dropping out during on League round. I find its easiest to erase all points and games involving that player.
Should be most fair I think.

u should do like a weekly league like EPL, and if ppl miss a game, it counts as a lost

!!We have to decide how to deal with players not finishing their matches!!
The suggested solutions are;
-Erase all the Matches that player are involved with
-Count the unfinished match as a win for the opponent

looking forward to this, just cannot play all the time everyday atm, hope I can keep up with your pace :wink:

regarding prize money - how about all participants opening 2 games against the winner of the tournament/league afterwards and forfeiting them during the last move, no matter the outcome > this should ensure about 20k of coins, that would be a little something at least :slight_smile:

You don’t have to be from Europe anymore. He changed it to a world league. I’m from California myself.
