One idea: implement an own masterlist or even 2. So if query from masterlist 1 fails, the game will send a query to the second one.

Is this Mac OS X compatible? I saw that it’s for Windows/Linux, however I’m playing ET on neither of these… All I need for ET I use my mac, including creating maps and all I need so a OS X compatibility would be amazing!

This game is dead, Tr3b has quit/stopped/given up on ETXreaL, Eonfge has managed to get a job working at some games company/thing- can’t remember the name but well done to him anyway. I doubt anyone else will/want to finish off/make all the assets which would be a stupendous task anyway even for a team of people.

I can’t remember if it works on mac (it should)… but unless you want to waste your time making it run or can find someone willing to waste their time you may be out of luck. You have bootcamp on OSX I believe? You may be better off just running it in/with that if you can.

Yea, it has got only windows and linux targets, but from a quick glance it shouldn’t take that much editing to make xreal work on a mac. And it’s certainly not a waste of time - it would be a learning experience.

Thanks for the reactions! I didn’t notice it died… I was pretty interested in checking it out when I saw it.

Maybe as Radegast mentioned, I’d give it a try indeed! Even if it’s only for the experience.

Fuxx started porting it to Mac OS X with Snow Leo compability layer (like any moders OS X apps), he did main game client compatible, without etmain yet. It’s quite hard work as he said, maany, maany errors.
If he is on this forum, then contact him - unfortunaletly i don’t have any contact info :frowning:

That was to xreal… not ETXreaL - which was last changed… ~2 months ago iirc. I cant see Tr3B abandoning that (xreal) but he said he is no longer working on it (etxreal) now for various reasons he mentioned - I wont repeat them so if go ask him :stuck_out_tongue: It is a shame though, I rather like(d) it.

Of course! I assumed killzone was asking/putting in a ‘feature request’ about the compat, I can’t imagine being able to find someone to port a 20% finished dead game for the sake of it though, although morsik seems to know of such a person, maybe it will get the compat eventually fingers crossed :cool:

Thats a pretty generic error. Check all the game .dll or .so files are in the right spot, and post a bit more console log.

How can I start the 64 Bit version? The only file that i can open is a zip.exe it opens but closes immediately…

There should be a folder named 64bits somewhere with the related binaries, as well as a readme.txt…

Of cource i found the 64bit binary folder, but none of the files work.

I see it supports OpenGL 4.0, then it’s your driver that is outdated. I guess you have still the default one… Check NVidia Panel for updates :slight_smile: And get more advanced features through it and a up to date driver!
