Small announcement
If somebody hosts etxreal server and it “crash” with error:

ERROR: SP_team_WOLF_objective: exceeded MAX_MULTI_SPAWNTARGETS (16)

Please don’t inform us anymore about this. We are getting more and more bug requests. We know about this bug, and we are trying to find what’s going up. Not everyone have this problem so this must be something specific.

But we should get some logs. Please add here your logs (better with +set developer 1) and your server config on sourceforge.net https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&aid=3354585&group_id=27204&atid=389772
I added this bug a lot time ago.

Try changing gametype or something similar.

By reading it, it seems on certain maps some team_WOLF_objective have more than 32 spawn points assigned. Since the maximum for servers is 64 slots, each team should have a maximum of 32. It could be verified by giving the maps with which it happens, decompilate it/them, and look at the spawns, count the spawn points, and see if it is related.

Seems like it’s increased in ETXreal, in N!tmod MAX_MULTI_SPAWNTARGETS is 16.

Does this happen with etx_* maps ? If it does, check if these maps don’t have too much “team_WOLF_objective”, i know nothing about mapping but from what i saw in the code, that’s probably the reason for this error…

Sorry for confusion, i get number from irc log, probably where i changed that number to test. It’s 16 ofcourse (fixed post)

This happen to… nobody knows. 4 months ago i had this problem on original maps, now people have it on etx_ maps. I just don’t know :\

I noticed something’s wrong with spawnpoints on ETXreal, i was testing etx_radar 2 days ago and spawnpoints were wrong, i was in allied team and i was able to spawn at CP when it wasn’t even built, but i couldn’t spawn at flag after capturing it…

Dunno if this info can help at all though…

Yeah, we know that too. Another problem with (probably) entity names in new map format.

I also noticed the spawning is messed up in Xreal.
Why not find the problem at Level Design editor?
Since the G_CallSpawn function and the functions included with it haven’t touched in mod side.

i checked on amd site for update my video card and it says i have the latest drivers.my video card is ati radeon 1550x

Please correct me if I`m wrong:
ETXReal needs a video card supporting OpenGL3.2.
Your 1550x only support OpenGL2.0
(I have had the same problem with my 1950X Pro (when I installed it some years ago this one was the most powerfull card for AGP slot, just replaced it by a HIS HD4670 [also AGP] which is 3.2 compatile)

Cloned the git repo and compilation seemed fine (Ubuntu Oneiric 64 bit), but unfortunately I haven’t managed to start it yet:

Omg,so with my video card that i have now,i can t play etxreal?Damn,that s the last thing i was prepared to hear :).Thanks anyway,i guess i have to move on than ,back to old et.But ,are no tricks that i can do,without buying new video card which anyway i dont afford?

The .so files have to be in the etmain subdirectory.
