Yes, try the beta version. It works fine for me now. I guess I was a little confused. Make sure your “final stats” directory is created. Thie program is very good because you have all your stats recorded since you started playing. Other logfile programs have to get you to put some code into rcon so you won’t have all your other stats recorded.

This is my code, it works good for me:

Ok we have had a few problems that you might want to address.
My mate has just tried it using the Read Me file i game him, and it works (so thats good News)
BUT he had a problem he couldnt get HIS files to work but i gave him mine and it was fine and same when he game me his it DIDNT work for me…now this is the Screen shot of the error:-

Now his name is
_NeT_Nosferatu-UK-

Now he deleted the -UK- so it looks like this
_NeT_Nosferatu

Now when he changed his name it works, so it either DOSNT like Long names. OR ends/contains a -

ALSO i think It stops it reading MY files when he played in same game as me (big problem) so i deleted all my old files .

Short version
the program cant read the files if YOU played in a game and your name is to long.

Ok sorted it:-
What it is is you cant have OVER 14 charactors for your name.
I have added some stuff to the Help file plz read the BOTTOM bit (limitations)

I have made this because this program is VERY complicated to set up (unless you follow this help guide) and the original ReadMe file was not very help full for thicko’s like me ^_^. So I hope this helps you out:-

Step 1
Download “JDK v1.4” if you do not already have (you can download this from http://java.sun.com/j2se/downloads.html the link is called “J2SE 1.4.2” on the page) NOTE: older version Wont work. (you dont get any version of this with windows etc)

Step 2
start ET, Click “Options” then “Game”
Go down to “Miscellaneous” and click “Auto-Action” until it changes from “None” to “Stats Dump” (every click changes the entry to any combination of Demo, Screenshot and Stats Dump).
Then you have to play at least 1 game, for some stats to be made for this program to work and it has to be played to the end (either Allies or Axis Win)

Step 3
Make a folder Where the program will place the FINISHED stats page i made mine in:.
C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\Final Stats

Step 4
Edit the “ETStats.cmd� (use note pad)

  • correct the paths in etstats.cmd to match your system setup
    • path to java.exe
    • path to Enemy Territory etmain/stats directory
    • path to directory for the output (directory has to exist)
      If you did everything the way I DID and installed the java program and ET to the default paths, it should look like this (just copy and paste it in place of it)

Step 5
copy the file “formate.css” to the output directory, i called mine “Final Stats” located at “C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\Final Stats”, (This is important for the page to look nice otherwise it will JUST be white back ground with black writing). (plz Note: you can also drag all the other files in there to keep altogether if you like)

Step 6
Double click “ETStats.cmd�

Step 7
Now look inside the folder you created for the stats (mine is Final Stats located at “C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\Final Stats”) and open the New .HTML files……. Index is the Stats for EVERY map

Limitations
Your name can only be 14 charactors long i.e _NeT_WalBanger is the MAX name length

If you dont mind I will add this help file to your program and put it on our site ;)…
and i look forward to the version that you can edit the HTML to suit different websites etc :D… Good work man

I did everything the readme said and played the game till the end.
When i double click the Etstats.cmd file it immediatly shuts down and nothing happenes. :???:
Whats wrong?

I already tried using D:\Wolfenstein-Enemy Territory\ as path for the stats but it doesn’t make a html file.
it just starts and shuts down and thats it :disgust:

:bump: I hate bumping this again(well i should)
But i really need help. Plz let someone get online who can help me
(My guess is that java is screwed as i got the latest version but i can’t think of anything else)
