[ ETScript 2 ] - Early screenshots

(Flippy) #1

Hi!

I have been working on a new version of ETScript lately and I have finally come to a point where I thought I would show you guys some screens of a very early beta version.
This new version is created in a different language (VisualBasic.NET) than ETScript 1, and should work and look alot smoother.

I was initially going to get it up for download already, but there are still too many bugs to be able to test it properly so I’m going to wait with that.

Here are a few screenshots:

Normal view. As you can see, not everything is working yet, like the tabs to the right and bottom sides. I’m working on it

Bookmarks in action. They are saved per-map so you can have 5 bookmarks on each map.

The options screen, with a some more options than in ETScript 1:

The AutoBackup Manager screen, a new feature. Here you can view and manage your AutoBackups. You can sort them by size, creation date, name, etc, and you can delete or open them from here:

Also new in ETScript 2, the editor is now a MDI, or Multi-Document-Interface. You can open multiple scripts.
Via the Windows menuitem you can arrange the windows either Cascading (as shown), Side by Side or Stacked on top of each other. If you have 3 or 4 windows open you can also choose to show them Squared (in a square):

Enjoy

I’m making good progress on ETScript 2 now!

I already have AutoCompletion, Intellisense and the Scriptcommand list working fully again, and I even realised I missed about 20 events in the old ETScript LOL!
It’s no longer possible to edit the scriptcommands and their descriptions though, although I don’t think this will be a huge loss…

The only things still missing, compared to ETScript 1, are the Entity Import (I’m working on this, it will take some time) and maybe some small functions I’m forgetting…

It’s working alot smoother than ETScript 1 with alot less bugs most of all.

I think it will be ready for release soon!
