(Calzonzin) #1

ETPub 0.6.1 and the latest version of the etpub client have been released! The list of changes and improvements is huge! Here are some of the major new features (all configurable of course!):

  • Better control of artillery and airstrikes to control airstrike/artillery spam
  • Constructible XP sharing
  • Airstrike blocking
  • File-based XP Save (fully configurable, including XP decay to avoid having players with huge XP)
  • b_realHead from ETPro implemented (Thanks Zinx and ETPro team!)
  • Party panzers
  • Vulnerable panzers, and other panzer options
  • Sudden death dynamite and dynamite chaining
  • Throwable knives
  • Custom Obituaries
  • Killing sprees
  • Expanded statistics and player rankings, used (among other things) to balance teams based on player proficiency rather than just on XP
  • Reflected friendly fire
  • Expanded covert ops options
  • Configurable weapon damage
  • Damage-based XP (the same as ETPro’s damage-based XP, plus another variant)
  • Bug fixes to both etpub and stock ET code
  • And many more features!

Please see the Changelog and the etpub docs for full details.

IMPORTANT: For those of you going from 0.5.x to the new 0.6.x etpub, please read the 0.6 upgrade notes.

dont expect much replies here, reply here isnt important at all…
Important is mainly to post at major et websites ( as it was already done )
Here mostly modder asks for questions and so…

I am glad to see the progress of this mod extend as far as it has.

-I used to complain about certain etpub bugs, until I was blue in the face. -I was told that I didn’t know what I was talking about by etpub forumers/developers…but they always seemed to fix that specific bug in the next version…ODD. :suspicious:

-I guess no one wants to admit that things need progress until that point of progress is surpassed.— I say, “as long as it gets done”.

Good job on the development.

Hmmm… Really? We always take bugs pretty seriously, tjw and zaedyn worked very hard on fixing this new bug, for example (made even more difficult to fix because tjw could not reproduce the error on his machines)… The only thing we debate on the forums is when the issue is subjective.

Regardless, we welcome all bug reports, feature requests, and source code contributions anyone wants to make. And I have always been careful to not fix bugs by silencing those who bring them up on the forums. Many people have been kind enough to point out bugs we have, and some even go as far as giving us fixed code, we are very very grateful for this.

As far as posting here not helping, I feel it’s important to post here for a couple reasons: Modders will know when we have implemented new functionality, maybe they are working on that same functionality so maybe they can see if our source code helps them; modders maybe also have a feature done already and may like to contribute it to etpub because their implementation is better or more complete; and finally, it may be more convenient for NullSkills to update his mod list.
