Any chance of there being an etpub forum in future? Why exactly is it down, I never got the memo on that.

Forums were down because of spam, but now etpub.org keeps redirecting to www.etpub.org, which in its place redirects to etpub.org. I already mailed calzonzin, but no answer…

I already tried contacting him while back but had no answer…I also offered place on mygamingtalk forums, download and tracker if he has no plans to continue ETPub but no reply as of yet. That way at least need modders/coders/developers can continue develop ETPub. I can convert all old posts so they don’t get lost.

He prolly just needs to update e107 and Q&A and re captcha for registration.

Bad. Need to build it myself then…

Half a year ago i tried to compile etpub on linux-x86_64 and it compiled without much problems. Only EAX(? somewhere in cg_crash.c) register must be changed to 64bit equivalent.

I started a server on 81.91.242.31:27968 to test it, it seems to work flawlessly :slight_smile:

jumped on server 5 times without etkey and i had 1 instantly, very nice indeed

the lacvk of support in etpub was what made me leave that mod behind, but now il let that server stay alive.

imo the most important edit in new etpub works very well, now il start have a look at the others :slight_smile:

i have no clue about programming but i have one question. If i would edit the source from ET they released last year and i wanted to add LUA to it, is it sufficient to copy the codeparts from etpub to the source i got? I mean, the commented parts like:

I think you are better off starting with the latest epub build, then making your edits.

if it’s minor changes in the same branch, you can just make a .dff file

but in your case I am not sure. I will leave this to the bigdog coders.

etpub allows people to use, modify, branch off, and credit etpub, its not like NQ
or atleast I should say, there is nothing that states otherwise

Also… i have some problems with headshots… i just can’t shoot at head. I even tried with ‘testbot’ and K43 sniper rifle. And i couldn’t hit it. !stats showed me all the time, 0 as HS, while i was aiming with scope right at bots head ;\ (they were standing - not moving). I have set g_headshot 0.

If someone readed about my autoaim problem. It was because of g_tactics 1. I disabled it and now everything is ok.

Is there a cvar called realhead like in NQ which is enabled?

Yes there is… looks like after disabling that g_tactics, i can now make headshots. Even with g_realHead 1. Interesting. And there’s no info about g_tactics in docs - that’s why i enabled it :smiley:
I was interested what it does and looks like it adds some simple autoaim (only for first shot) and disables headshots… Even omnibot did 1 or 2 HS per MAP with this. Now with g_tactics 0 i have 9 HS after 6 kills.

When i did 2 headshots, one right after another, 2 helmets were dropped from that player :smiley:
