Features: Elevator, automatic-doors, constructables, command post, capturable spawnpoint, 8-stage movable cran in both directions

Map description:
Steal the Radar Components from the very secret Axis X-Ray research Laboratory!

The Allies are attempting to steal components of the new Axis X-Rays radar for technical analysis. The Axis must guard their prototype radar and prevent the Allies from escaping with any stolen parts.
Along the way the Allies have several secondary objectives which the Axis team must try to prevent them accomplishing. Firstly the Allies must dynamite the Main Gate to allow them to hack the Control Panel and get access to the Main Entrance. Once inside the Laboratory there is a flag which can be captured by either side to allow a closer respawn point as well as near ammo and health racks. Finally the Allied team has to move the Cran to get access to the Radar Components and bring it to the “Escape Bunker”.

The map looks nice! Very confusing with the auto-doors. Also the first thing i did was to climb in via the mg-bunker by the first dynamitable door as allied. After moving the crane and getting the radarpart i couldnt get out of the complex…dunno if i missed a way somewhere.

^thx. drakir… you can crawl in and out of the bunker… out is more difficult… but normally you should “hack” the control panel to automatic open the front-door, of course after you dynamited the main-gate

but it has some small bugs in it… not big one but they are still there…
and the next is that time was running and i did not have time to “finish” all little details…

the automatic - automatic doors are a bit confusig at first time players but if they know how they work, they loved it (puhh… i discussed that thing to the et-clan i tested with but we left it as it is)
i hate buttons… i hate the “use” key… (i wish i could use the fixed mg’s just with going to it and leaving it by going back!!!)

one thing could be really better… the “laboratory”… because i could not texture my own models (hmm…dont know how!!)… so the “cran” and the objective do not fit perfectly

and remember… its just my second map… i am learning fast :banghead:

are these errors a problem, i dont know!? i just had a few test-shader i finally did not use… thats the same with some jpgs… should i change this?

Some shader warnings can be ignored. They just indicate
a possible problem that you should double check (I’ve heard
from one source that sometimes they are just used in the compile
of the map and not needed at runtime.)

The sound warning is probably bad.

If you tell me where to find the xlab_wall/xmetal and gma/pool
textures I can tell you more about the conflict warnings.

The minor notes can be ignored… they just remind you
that you did things right but different than what one might
expect.

i am not an expert but i dont think this things are important…
the sound error is bad because i mistyped fire1.wav (original fire01.wav)…
a other problem is, that i forget to put a “light” image to the pk3, so one small light texture is not be seen, on original et-installation (he uses a image from the lights.pk3 i got from the radiant-install!)

i was on several servers, most of the people have fun on this map… and the problem ist, that i do not have the time to work on the map again … i have to earn money again!..

if you want to rework this map… plz tell me! but i do not think i will make a new version because of these errors… maybe in a few month, when i have checked how to texture a own model… then i rework the cran and the laboratory, too

but so far, thx (i did not recognice this errors)

hi xlabs fans :slight_smile:

i decided to redesign my xlabs-map

i saw on publics that it is nearly impossible for allies to get the objective when more than 18 players are on the map…

new:

  • 1 new entrance -some sort of machine which brings you into the bunker
  • redesign of some rooms - i love details :slight_smile:
  • script debugging

i hope i will finish the new version within 2 month

sorry for bump… but i just played this map on public and it’s freaking awesome! very good atmosphere and so. what a shame that there aren’t many servers with it…
