All maps are in maps, even in the pk3.
ET will not open my .bsp files
I think i’ll have a pop at this …
are you running the correct et.exe … i.e the one which contains your bsp
you have 2 et’s you may mistakingly be running the wrong one, maybe from a short cut.
its a long shot but you never know
The right one is running.
I only installed a second, mapping dedicated version, to try and cope with the problem. Alas!
Thanks for the try though! Don’t worry about the long shot thing, this will eventually turn out to be something tiny and stupid which I overlooked and I’ll feel like a twat, but a twat with a working *.bsp!
I’d move & rename the mapping installation to get rid of those whitespaces. Something like C:\ET for a test.
Yeeehaaaaw!
I finally got the mother to run!
What I did: I had Radiant 1.4 and 1.5.0 on my machine (kept 1.4 for the modelobjects and stuff). Uninstalled both and reinstalled only 1.4. And just to be on the safe side, I kept the renamed install without the spacing, Shaderman.
Now it’s running, no problem at all ('cept for the leaks in the map… ). Let’s just hope it keeps on running!
Has anybody else come across this type of conflict?
Anyways, Kudos to all you guys for trying to help a n00b out, props to each and everyone of you and another
on me!
:rocker:
:notworthy:
There is no conflict between 1.4 and 1.5, unless you installed them to the same directories.
