ET version ?

ok,
because of all the discussions i had lately with some peaople i starting to wonder more and more.
what ET version is more populair and has more players online ?
ET 2.55
or
ET 2.60b
and why ?
because i have my servers now on 2.55 with that multi version mod so any version can connect.
but having doubts if i should upgrade or nor (and lose the regular customers maybe :rolleyes: )

for me, ETPro 3.2.6 on 2.60b, most bugfixes and lua capable

2.60b has a bigger player base, but it also has more servers, the 2.55 playerbase is smaller but also alot less servers, so that’s why they seem like they are more then they are.

I always play with 2.60b on 2.55 servers, =F|A=, and some europe fast shooting servers that are always filled up to the top

i think most people stick to 1 or 2 severs. in my case it’s 2.60b, blackg, nq 1.2.7.

me plays all versions, because i like the servers, and not the et version. no one. i repeat, NOT A SINGLE ADMIN THE LAST YEAR ABUSED REMAPSHADER OR OTHER EXPLOITS ON 2.55 SERVERS. I EAT A BRUSH IF ITS THE OPPOSITE. and noone has that skill anyway. pls close this thread. it will be only stupid discussions.

and ofcourse a bugfixed version is better, but i play where is a good harmony, and there are also some 2.55 servers having that.

p.s.: not polling a s**t. all you pollers, like it would change sth ? yes or no, black and white. absolutely brainless.

sry but its true, spare it to me pls, this whole discussion and try to achieve some social status by bumbing a bottleneck like this topic.

How can the remapshader command be abused? :confused:
afaik it allows you only to swap textures.

I play only 2.60b because of the security fixes.

But that the remapshader command can be abused is new to me, afaik it allows only to swap textures.

EDIT:
OK, Googled a bit, this was the reason why patch 2.60b was released.
Next time I’ll do a screenshot of a thread before I reply.

if we’re talking about the most stable ET, then I’d say the latest NQ on 2.60b
But shooting on NQ doesn’t feel right, the nicest gameplay is on jaymod, but that has lots of bugs and some critical ones that can be abused to crash server !
And etpro has too many cheaters imo… I’d dare say that 1/20 players is a cheater (or less!)

im still planning of making a fully changes weapons mod for NQ servers (maybe based on 1.2.3)
just to give it more of a etpro feeling.
and just editing the .weap info is something that NQ dev cant hold back (thanx god)

i play 2.55/2.60b on my chaosserver and 2.60b on tjmod server :slight_smile:

Game-wide statistics (updated every 10 minutes)

Those figures stay roughly stable… 60% of players are on 2.60, 40% on 2.55.

Although that doesn’t discriminate between bots and humans.

I dont think the same as you about etpro players, the big difference in my opinion youre playing with noobs! i see cheaters in all mods not only in etpro!! Try play without xp save in a etpro server for 3 months and maybe someone will say youre a cheater when you come to play etpub, jaymod or NQ mod again!!
