LOL! OK here’s the dill, yo.
We’ve been over this before, so whether or not I’m the same guy is irrelevant, as I see it. We have PB to bust cheaters, so the topic is moot. Let’s say I was that other Bludd. Would that mean I cheated on PB servers? No, because I wouldn’t be able to. As I’ve said on these forums before, hacking is a mindset, so I can understand why hackers would see game cheats as yet another interesting challenge. As for the kiddies who download cheats and havn’t a clue how to make one; I see them as pretty low on the totem pole. As a gamer, I find all gaming related topics of interest, just as you fellas who frequent those cheat sites do. I would assume you visit those sites only to keep track of available cheats, but that’s a very generous assumption on my part, because some of you may very well be using the cheats you find (and simple math would dictate that at least a small percentage of you are using them for certain). Does it matter if anyone here cheats? No, because we have PB, and need not ever cross paths with them if we so desire. Again, I’m not going to argue about whether or not we are the same person, because for the purposes of these forums, it doesn’t matter. All my posts here are about ET and it’s loveliness, all have been relevant and well thought out, and I’ve tried to help others when I can. Bani’s question about whether or not I’m the same Bludd who wrote an opengl wrapper seemed to imply that if I was, I would have no right to my opinions as stated here at SD. I see that as somewhat restrictive, and even draconian. A “lynch mob” mentality, if you will. I, as an individual, have every right to pursue any and all of my varied interests at my leisure. If modifying my clientside game files for any purpose were one of those interests, then as a fully legal activity, that would be my within my rights and within the law. I can tell you here and now, however, that for me to code a game cheat would be akin to me flapping my arms and flying away. I simply wouldn’t know how to do it. But again, if I could do it, I probably would. As a person with a voracious appetite for knowledge, the lure would be too strong, and as a lover of games and a lover of computers in general, the challenge of making an aimbot or whatever else you want to name would be something I would have to try, as a personal challenge. Again, it would have no effect on the game we all love, because PB would relegate my tests to non-PB servers, where you all know cheating is a way of life (which is why you all avoid them).
At the end of the day, you decide what you want. I myself have never tried to attach anyone here to another personality elsewhere, because I frankly don’t care what else any of you are involved with; it doesn’t effect the discussions here at SD. As you can see, I’ve neither confirmed nor explicitly denied your accusations, because to do either would only invite more harsh homophobe-like attacks. I’d rather see the topic of “me” dropped entirely, because it is not relevant to the discussion of ET here at SD, and is wasting everyone’s time and SD’s bandwidth. Remember, I didn’t bring this question to light. I came to SD to talk about the game I love, and whatever else I may or may not be involved in is off topic. Search Google and you may find a Bludd discussing their activities in any number of other areas; whether or not that Bludd is this Bludd is neither here nor there…
