Too short of a time. Actually… I have been on and off this forum for this whole month… and today i see this post… and why detail textures?
Yes… you could make them… but anyone can, and not every wolf:et player would make use of them… or think to use them regarding how much mem/vid mem they currently have… but however… i do like the offer of free stuff… and If i may… I would like a pony…

Sorry dont have the power to stick threads on this forum :smiley: …hmmm a pony… that would take some time to make…should it carry any kind of weapon??? :smiley: :smiley:

Ok… I didnt thought ET was that dead… Not a single prefab have entered the contest…
Probably wont bother to do this again…

think I will just post things on our own site…

Creating meaningless prefabs doesn’t keep a game alive. Even the “Scenes from theme” contest, which actually spawned some great maps, has stopped. What really keeps a game alive are actual mapping and modding projects and those are still active (although it might not look like that on the larger scale).
There are not many active mappers left and those I know of, mostly have projects going on. And a good, not your average every day ET map, takes at least a year of development, meaning there is barely any motivation present to work on another map or even a simple prefab.

I think it was worth a try, but like you said, there is probably no reason to launch those contests in the future.

What you have here is the main community of W:ET, I really don’t see the reason/point of seperating this into another community.

No maps will ever revive ET to what it used to be, it is players/leagues and good servers that would have to be supported. Unfortunately, we do not have good leagues, lack of good ETPro servers.

Having said that, I just started making maps (or editing them) and I actually enjoy doing so!
