Industry

Main:

Escort the Tank to the Bunker and blow the Doors. Dynamite the Safe and steal the Secret Documents.
Build the Fieldradio to transmit the Secret Orders.
In this Mission the Command Post will play a Major role cause it activates a Spawnpoint near the Bunker.

+Axis

  • Destroy Tank Barrier #1
  • Destroy Tank Barrier #2
  • Escort the Tank to the Bunker and Destroy the Doors.
  • Dynamite the Safe Door.
  • Steal the Secret Documents.
  • Build the Fieldradio and Transmit the Secret Order.
  • Build the neutral Command Post to enable the CP Spawn near the Bunker.

+Allies

  • Build/Defend Tank Barrier #1
  • Build/Defend Tank Barrier #2
  • Dont let the Axis blow the Bunker Door.
  • Defend the Safe Door.
  • Destroy the Fieldradio.

thx Nephelim i played it like 10 times on your servers and the axis nearly won every game. to make it harder for them i built a team door so they cant get to the command post so fast. besides this i made the street landmineable :chef: so the tank can be stopped easier.
things that will be fixed in the next version.

  • limbo camera for every objective
  • sounds when objectives get built/destroyed
  • allied team door (stays open when once opened)
  • cp sound gets disabeld at map start :eek:
  • winning team camera
  • landmines can be placed on the street
  • posters with naked women :smiley:

its weekend and im going to drink some beer now!!! :drink: cheers and prost

Both bad imho. The attacking team should win every time. Full holds are NOT A GOOD THING. Make the map more offense biased instead of helping the defnse. And linemines on streets? This will become tc_base, landmines = bad altogether.

Also not necersarily a good idea. If you dont distribute the map with Rated 18 or Mature then, especially where I live, it is quite illegal. Extra loading time, and blurred at Picmip3.

All in all looking good, but from how you want to prevent the axis winning every map shows you have never played ET competetivly.

well your post is very good. i thougt about i a couple of times and decided to skip the landmineabel (i love the word) street and the door.
the thing with et is that a map that is well known for all players the defenders mostly have the better chances. its just a matter of time till everyone knows where to spam nades and stuff.
hmmmm but i love naked women :smiley: ahhw nevermind maybe just some bikini poser.
so all in all the next version coming on the weekend will feature:

  • limbo camera for every objective
  • sounds when objectives get built/destroyed
  • cp sound gets disabeld at map start (fixed)
  • winning team camera

also some little issues

  • fieldradio gets destroyed when satchel is dropped on the floor in front of it.
  • terrain looks more natural on some places
  • little bit more eyecandy

plz tell me what you think about the fieldradio. should it be a satchel or a dynamitable only constructible? what would be more playalbe???

Attackers should not win every time. IF the map is designed for stopwatch play, then yes, the attackers should win ~90% of the time given equal teams. However, if the map is designed for campaign, then the map should result in full holds 50% of the time, given equivalent teams

Yes, if pubbing, a campaign that’s over after 15 minues isn’t much fun.

please can u write an other name for the map in the file arena for the b2 version :

perhaps u can write in-beta_b2 like do the other maps designers

without that the players who have in their ET/MAIN the older version and the new are always disconnected:

they are a lot to do not know than they have to delete the older versions when a new is out thanks for change it
i will put the new version on my rotation when the name will be changed

I don’t know which beta it was…but I remember our team having a hell of a time finding the field radio…it was not on the CM. Did you do this on purpose ? If not, it needs a cm_marker or atleast a flag…it was just a bunch of crates with no sign of constructionability.
Sorry if I sound harsh, I don’t mean to…I had fun on it…but was also like…WTF !!!

command map also please ? even an ugly one…lol…mine are always ugly.

i guess it was nr3 i forgot to rename the command map. the field radio has a constructible logo you can see it as (axis) on the command map. once its buid there is no symbol :eek: im gonna fix this in the next (probably final) version.
my command maps are real ugly most times maybe some people here want to make one for me. if you want this contact me over icq 257-479-337 im looking forward on releasing the final next week.

and everyone here at splash-damage forums for the hints and suggestions.

i made some little changes from beta4 wich are

  • team door for the axis so they cant get to the command post that quick.
  • icons for the radio and the documents so people know faster where to go.
  • mg nest above the tank barrier #1 this should be easier to defend now.
