yep when I was using a 9600 card I found that the gamma settings had no effect, I had to adjust the desktop gamma within the ati control panel before I played
ET has encountered a problem and needs to close
That’s what I do now. But it’s odd because I used to be able to adjust brightness in game.
Is ET leaving behind something on my system? Maybe some files in the Windows folder? Because I would have thought an uninstall/delete/reboot/reinstall would have reset everything back to how it originally was. But this doesn’t seem to be the case, since the brightness control still doesn’t work, but more importantly it still CRASHES!
I had similar problems with my current nvidia card, no matter what settings I changed it would stay as default.
It turned out it was a recently installed game by the name of “postal 2” which fecked it up, uninstalled that and the problem was gone (was a shite game anyway :banghead: )
I have the same problem.
My computer locks up, after looping the last sound I heard, and this is about 3 minutes into a game.
I turned off ventrilo, tested it again, locked up…
I have an nvidia fx5200, piece of crap, with 44.03 drivers.
This worked a month ago, and now when I go into a server, it doesn’t work.
Tell me if you find any help.
