ET Freezing

My Enemy Territory Keeps on freezing as soon as i enter the list of servers. I wpuld appreciate it if u could give me some advice on what to do.

Anyhoo. Is it only ET that freezes or is it your entire machine?

Are you running Winblows or Linsux?

Does the problem also occur when you attempt to host a game?

How many pk3 files are there in the etmain subdirectory of where you installed the game?

Have you just installed the game?

Have you applied any of the game patches?

Has it worked before?

Have you paid your heating bill?

erhmm, scratch the last one…

Sry about putting it in the wrong catagory. Im running windows,i can host a game without it occuring, i dont know what pk3 files are, I got the first ET in the computer gaming monthly magazine which worked until a week after i got it and then it started freezing up too so i got the platinum pack just for ET because i liked it so much, I tried installing a game patch but i highly doubt thats the problem because ive never heard of a game that freezes when u dont have the right patch. I think i answered most of ur questions and asked one of my own(whata pk3 file is)so i thank u for trying to help me out.

oh yea sry i missed one its just ET that freezes and if i press control alt delete i can end the program without having to restart windows.

Start the game and at the main menu, press the ~ key (the one above TAB) to display the console. What version number does it display in the right area of the screen (something ET x.xx)
