ETGold 2.71
I have Build a New Version of ET. that Merged Bugs that are fixed from ETXreal and IOquake and some other minor Changes, but without the added Xreal Renderer.

Change log

Added AABB collision optimisation from IOquake3 (fps speedup)

Updated zlib Library and FS_Seek For Faster PK3 Loading

Small Fix in the Vanilla Renderer with Alpha Textures

Added Mouse Acceleration from IOquake
enable with cl_mouseaccel “1”

Improvements to the Vanilla Renderer

added r_mode “11” for 720HD and r_mode “12” for 1080HD
also a new command “listmodes” to view the list of modes

changed R_customwidth/R_customheight to “R_width” and “R_height”

Implanted “Which” Command from IOQuake

Removed old quake3 BOT Cvars from the Console e.g. Bot_ …

Removed GL_Extensions and Pk3 Loading Spam from the Console, the Console should be easier to navigate.

ATI Skybox Fix (ioquake3)

Added CL_GUID
(Requires new ET Keys “ETFkey” )

Increased the Limit of CL_Maxpackets to 125
The Minimum maxpackets have increased to 30 from 15

rate defaulted to 25000

Sound Looping Fixed

Increase Default com_hunkmegs to 96MB

This WILL Works only on Servers that have no Punkbuster

Sounds great. Would be nice if you could also compile a linux / mac version (or share the source with somebody who`s able to compile).

Will add it to wolffiles ASAP

This comes very from out of nowhere, i admit, but i like news like this.

Is there somewhere a source available ? Also i would like to know if you really know what you are doing when you are copy and pasting code :slight_smile:

Also do you have some kind of long term plans for supporting this ? Where is your hp, what was the codebase you used (i hope you did use plain etsdk2.6d and not some mod of the mod of the mod version).

Yeah, but it would be cooler if people joined forces and released a full project rather than a bunch of smaller, less complete ones.

Et-Xreal is about Updating the Renderer, but does not work with mods like Noquarters and requires it own Xreal Servers.

ETF is a Version that Fixes many bugs with the Quake 3 Engine as ported from Ioquake3 and adds some new functionality like Mouse Acceleration.

Hopefully i will port Anaglyph 3D From IOquake

** Just a Note, the Release in this Thread does not work with Servers, only on Local Games

The Which Command is for verifying Files i believe e.g. \which pak0

Many Servers don’t even Use Punk buster if they are well managed, but since punk is dead in ETF is may reduce Lag.

In ETF the keys are in etmain that are named “etfkey”.

The which command is similar to the *NIX “which” command that shows you which file was loaded by the engine from which path. It’s handy a command for idtech3 path issues.

I have changed the name to ETGold, and is now on version 2.71, it now works on Servers, and is much more stable then it was before :slight_smile:
