ET doesn't show terrain

Hello,

as the Tpoic says, since the latest changes to my map, ET won’t show the terrain anymore. It is there, it’s just invisible. I’m also getting no errormessage concerning that. Anyone knows what can be wrong?

Maybe a texture set to something wich you can’t see :stuck_out_tongue:

well one tip I can give you now is to make backups of yor work ESPECIALLY if you have terrain eg:
mymapv1
mymapv2
mymapv2.1

etc…
then when this happens you revert to the last good save

What rebel said, maybe a texture that’s invisible?
Also what stealth says: make at least a copy everytime you made many changes

Looks strange I used to see texture missing terrain but not invisible :open_mouth:
Can you be more accurate on what happens in the console,and how it looks like? :open_mouth:

Maybe try to see ingames th ‘triangles’ i forgot the command :o i thin /tr_vis or something :pThen you can see if the terrain is acctually there…

Try Brush cleanup … maybe the terrain is a bit “messed” up in the editor

Hey,

i didn’t change much, i was just playing arround with some entitys and adjusted some textures, but noting on the terrain. As i said, the console says nothing about it. If it type /r_showtris 1 there is no terrain, but i can walk on it. Bruscleanup also won’t help.

Edit: OK, now i took an older backup of the map, it’s still the same. I reinstalled GTKRadiant and and ET, but nothing changed, other maps have terrain. What is there wrong?? Help xD

Hmm, try to give someone the pk3, then we will test it, might be youtr PC then

hmm if you made the terrain with easygen is the pcx file still present?

sounds like the terrain has lost information on how it’s supossed to be textured

where the pcx is usualy? I got it directly under etmain. Is that correct?

Ok, i just tested the map, first of all i wanna say, nice map !! :stuck_out_tongue:

Then, indeed, you see no tris portals, but you get clipped, and if you shoot you see sand flying up… strangeeeeeeeeeeeeee :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

try the pcx thing of stealth!

Otherwise reimport your terrain…

thx for the Flowers :slight_smile: :), reimporting the terrain i want as last instance, i made so many changes to it after easygen, that it would take me a whole day to redo everthing :confused:
