ET dedicated server

hi to all
First of all I want to say sorry for my english, i know it will make hard for you to give some advice for my problem.

I want to make a dedicated server for et on linux ubuntu 32 bit.
I installed the gamed downloaded from splashdamage , I configure the server.cfg file but I cant make it appear on the main list server of the game.
This is what i added in the server.cfg file

set sv_master1 “etmaster.idsoftware.com”
set sv_master2 “master.gamespy.com:27900”
set sv_master3 “master0.gamespy.com”
set sv_master4 “clanservers.net”
set sv_master5 “”

and still doesn’t appear
I must say that there is no router , the server has directly internet connection and not always i´m able to connect to the game.
Please can anyone give a link or something like that where i can get info about how to make this dedicated server?

I just want to make a dedicated server with classic map as it was in the beginnings.

Is your firewall configured to allow connections on ET port?

May you post IP address of your server?

Well first there is no firewall and my ip is 178.33.112.169:27960

probably you have not set “dedicated 2”, so server ain’t even trying to send to masterserver afaik.

If you want a “vanilla” et, you should use etpro, or better silent mod or n!tmod. Etmain is quite buggy and problematic.
