it’s a serverside cvar, so you’d have to ask whoever runs the server to turn it off, I believe it falls under g_spectator in the noquarter.cfg
ET - clone wars
Hmmm.
You might want to consider using the eastfront mod as a base for your mod. I (the main coder) do not mind if you want to use my work, and I doubt anyone else will mind either.
It would mean that then your vehicles can be driveable, and it would also add the following:
- A battlefront-like gametype
- Music/inet radio engine
- A particle system (add FX to maps or models)
- HQ map textures
- Cinematic planes (planes flying over your map – you could change these to ships)
- AI (both normal bots (use player slots), and NPCs (do not use player slots)) support built in
… and lots of other stuff mentioned on our site. – there is also even support for ships/boats should you want it – would probably work fine for space ships if wanted.
If you are very lucky I might even be convinced to do a little work on the code for you to make things match up (tank sizes, etc), and maybe add some fx code or whatever.
pust - removing the dust a little bit
i just restarted to improve the mod -
break was long enough
unlucky i m still alone
what i really need is a m8 who can make nice textures - the textures i have now are little bir more than space holders - and there are maaaany textures to do
i ll be happy about all help i can get - it just have to fit to the model
Well, the clones should be easy to texture. I mean come on all they consist of is white and black. How about I get back to you in acouple of years after my 2 years in high school and 4 years in college for graphics design :P.
we re talking about 90 textures
and 90 models
(maybe more)
but i can show you a example:
the orginal pic:

my model:

the “texture”
the model:

you can open it with et-model tool - don t forget to swap texture coordinates uv-st
well I have never made textures before hehe, but I got it working with the et-model tool so I might take a look at it, anyway I think if you make the edges a little more worn or make them stand out and add a bit of a realistic effect to the metal like it’s been used (few scratches) that would already be a big improvement
i know how to make a texture
and how much work 1 good texture is - thats the reason i ask for help…
Hey Ich…
What ever happened to easy company? Is it no more? Anyway, I am creating some final changes to my mod and I am looking for minor help on my Extra Cheese Mod.
Basiclly all I need is arm sleeves for a couple weapons. I dont need new textures, I want the ones in ET. I just dont know how to assign them in the scripts and stuff. Right now I have the allied sleeve on both axis and allies so I just need axis to have their own.
This is probably easy for a skin modder but I am not pro at it. If you can spare some time, full credit will be given
i just wanted to inform you that i stooped working with that mod + making it public
feel free to modify/improve it
use it on your server
just let the readme inside
have fun

works best with nq 1.2.9.
but there are diffrent weap files in the pk3 - so it works with other versions, too.
unlucky et:Qw is more dead than et - so it is a waste of time to port this mod to et:qw (in my eyes)
but i love et:qw - hogging
what’s the status on the mod isch? is all models there? clones and all?
everything is done mod is running just few bugs to do -
this is the list i have
symbol für thompson hud
bar - tripod down
shader browning
allied riffle - grenade - skin
- symbol
grenade sound
needle - texture axis - shader
hmm grievous naked skin - 1 arm
mp40 pickup symbol
mortar limbo
kicking with pistol
tank texture - nq bug#?
dunno if there are more - as i said no more fun with it

I know that it is a bit frustrating with ET limits when it comes to models and so on, but this mod should really be done all the way…
might have a look if you dont mind…
Sorry for HOLY THREAD REVIVAL, but these are awesome. I would like to demand a tutorial :D.
