i just checked the planetquake4.net site for more trailers like this and found the following intersting statistic:

Enemy Territory: QuakeWars E3 Video (High), 269 MB: Downloads Total: 11053
Enemy Territory: QuakeWars E3 Video (Low), 22 MB: Downloads Total: 1863

the interesting part isn’t the high number of downloads, but more that so many people (in such a short time) have downloaded the high bandwidth version. i mean 269 MB is quite a lot for a 6 minute gameplay vid …

Just got back from Chicago, and this is just what I was looking for!

Thanks.

Bandwith is cheap and lots of people have fast connections nowdays. 300 meg is nothing.

Maybe in Sweden, but you don’t get cheap highspeed connections in every country mate.

here’s a bit more from the guys at planetquake4.net:

http://planetquake4.net/download.php?op=fileid&lid=2306

although you need to get a 355 mb vid to get a bit of quake wars because the vid is about the E3, not QW alone: Also included with the video is a bit of QuakeWars footage that wasn’t included in the first video.

edit: you don’t necessarily need to see that one, QW is only 30 seconds in it, nothing spectacular.

Someone get virtualdub and cut that asap

(Joe999) #30

i would, but that vid is in wmv, i have not editor for that $#!T format.

(gerry) #31

You can edit it in windows movie maker.

(Joe999) #32

here it is. unfortunately wmm reencoded the whole file to 640x480. dunno why, looks like it has no support for direct clip copy from a given file. anyway, here’s the link:

(wmv, 8mb)

as i said: not that much interesting.
