[drupal=842]ESL Hosting European Challenge Tournament for Brink[/drupal]

The European Sports League has been firmly behind Brink since launch, and they’ve just announced a new tournament for the PC version of Brink - the European Challenge. This latest event is 5 on 5 Stopwatch and open to Brink players from all over Europe, with the winning teams walking away with swanky gaming hardware including SSD harddrives, SteelSeries headsets, and gaming keyboards. Sign-ups are open until the 10th of July (that’s this Sunday!), with the action officially kicking off the next day.
If you want to sign yourself up or are looking for more information, head on over to the ESL’s Brink European Challenge page. To find out what else the ESL has going on for Brink, check out their Brink section.

Basically the only things PC has over consoles at this point is a tournament, and getting content and fixes faster due to how much easier it is to patch games on PC compared to consoles. When it comes to tournaments, groups like MLG probably wouldn’t even accept Brink as a candidate anyways, since more often than not the console games that make it into professional level of play are more mainstream and vastly more popular than Brink has been.

That being said, I watched the first Brink tournament coverage, and that was a blast, so I’m sure this time around the matches will be even more intense since people have had months to work on their play and strategies.
