No reward or things to play for, good luck getting teams lol.

This game is in no way shape or form to become an E-sports currently I feel.
The amount of imbalance, bugs and just random BS is too big for it to become an E-sports currently.

Agreed. Prizes generally attract more teams.

That’d be up the host of the tournament really. Every game has issues, but I guess whoever decided to host it would have done their own evaluation of the game first. At least I would if I was in that position.

I really hate the way PC games have evolved to “prizes or I will not play”

To be fair, the console community is worse in this respect (here in New Zealand any way)

Gaming has became so big every kid these days wants to be a pro. The amount of times before holding our console lans here in NZ people ask “What’s the prize? Oh only $2000 dumb nah cbf” just makes me sad haha.

Am I the only one who couldn’t give a flying F about prizes? It’s a damn video game. I am here to have fun and wreck some people, what happened the the good old days where bragging rights was more than enough :stuck_out_tongue:

I personally don’t care about prizes. I care about good/smart competition that is well practiced. Not a bunch of people who don’t even know how/when to kill out let alone do anything strategically beyond getting somewhat lucky on pushes. And Dirty Bomb has always been a tiny pond with little fish and it’s never gotten beyond that :frowning: I have a huge laundry list of reasons why it’s like that and a list of things that could make it better from my perspective. But I’m not certain most of it will ever happy.

However, I am perfectly fine pubbing the game as I find it quite enjoyable. I do dream of it becoming a lot better off competitively but that is going to require significant changes from SD/Nexon.

For sure there’s a lot of space for improvement, but looking at the amount of ‘clans’ in public matches and the possibility of scrimming, I would have guessed there would at least be some attention / interest for some cups
