Today we’re announcing the first ESL Community Cup for Dirty Bomb. As is the case with all our Community Cups, we’d appreciate any feedback or suggestions regarding the cup. Please do not hesitate to reply to this thread or leave us a support ticket should you have any questions.

[center]Quick rules:[/center]

  1. Mode: Best of three
  2. Game type: 5on5 Stopwatch
  3. Friendly Fire: On
  4. Maps: Underground, Chapel, Bridge, Terminal, Trainyard
  5. Merc Limit: One Merc per team
  6. The higher seed can choose the starting side

Can NA teams participate?

We are currently wondering if it would make sense to run a separate series for NA, or to just merge it into a global cup. However this cup is aimed at European teams.

Fair enough! We initially chose to split the regions due to the big time zone difference. Finding a suitable time for both NA and EU is quite challenging. However we are running these cups to receive feedback from you guys. If at some point it doesn’t make sense to have the cups split up, we’ll of course think about changing it.

I personally think there should be an EU cup and a US cup, mainly due to home advantage on servers, I know people will be like “its the same on both” it really isn’t whoever is on the home servers will always have that advantage due to the latency regardless of registration of your bullets.

They home team will see the enemy before the enemy see’s them and that really matters.

But hey the 2 test cups are worked pretty well without any real complaints so perhaps people just dont notice or dont care.
