Just enter MAX_MAP_VISIBILITY into the search box and it will turn up usefull results for sure. This is a common problem if you’re quite new to mapping, probably everyone has seen the error once.

sorry but i broke that record before with 36500 portalclusters :), i could reduce it to around 2500 so no prob :slight_smile:

The search function is our friend…that is why I have brought this post to SD’s forum.

note: I reduced the default blocksize (in the images)from 1024 to 256 for easier portalling representation.

Hard to explain when we dont know exactly what stage you are at.
Try reading the tutorials that are relevant to you.
Post a picture of your map in GTKradiant. keep it small.
try a tutorial on useing GTK radiant. good luck
