The Election-fryer is great on Juan or LaHaque, IMHO. As much as I want to like Tito he’s just another medium sniper so, like Pete, he lacks the punch of Juan and the mobility of LaHaque. If I was going to take a medium sniper I’d take Pete because his special ability is more reliable and less situational.

Cutting to the chase: I’d just buy the gun. :slight_smile:

Yeah, that is true, but Tito has proven himself useful when it comes to remove the opponents cover out of the way, or send a turret out of the way.

Yeah, I like Tito a lot I think he’s my current favorite, and as Madame, if equiped with the Fryer he can shoot twice and move twice, meaning he can be in cover get put of cover shoot twice and return to cover!!

Pecisly, although it would be the exact same case for Pete, and Juan as well, the only one that couldn’t do it before (at least not with a nice sniper) was Madame, that’s what I like about the Fryer it bakances the sniper users a bit more

I like fast teams, but many prefer energy over speed since, they can shoot more often and a Juan and Gus are good combination

Really, it’s a hit point issue with Juan being so much safer a choice. Plus, to be real, Juan can step once and fire three times with a fryer!

Precisly, that’s the reason most people play him, I am one of the few that prefers movement, in case I have a melee user at close range

Great game with Crozzton (who is awesome, btw), I won by take and hold at Embankment. He walled off all but one square of his scoring zone (he did it to trap two of my meagans who perished by poison), but then he had to rush in to it, setting off like 6 mines, killing his commander and Juan.

At one point it was 4 against one against me…

When you did your little gas chamber move, I thought I was cooked. Then I was like, hey let’s leave that block ( had u cleared it somehow, the inside of that zone was all mined too). Once I realized that, I just had to fight the temptation to run my commander down for a bee attack. I confess I was in shock when you rushed, I had lost count! After everything blew up and the victory screen came up…well, I was happy:)

In chess they call coming back to win such a game “a swindle.”

Of course your best move was knowing I’d run here to brag!!!

Did wonder why the defeat screen didn’t pop up when my commander was blown to smithereens instead of holding the rocket as I thought he would. He should have been able to see the first two mines at the rocket which he didn’t. Unless they made it LOS or nerfed the distance of the reveal which I am pretty sure we hadn’t talked about

Actually, I’m going to try to put together a descriptive narative if my son Patrick gives me a moment.

To answer your question, Crozzton, the ridiculous commander detect ability (which is unfair because he has that ability available to him/her as a castable–really castable—detect) only works for 2 squares, albeit even through cover. I used my artillery strikes to keep your man just outside of the main mine field.

Still, I was incredibly lucky. I will say I stepped out foolishly for one turn, maybe it could have been quicker. And of course, none of my crap works if I go second.

So, here it is!

I came with the 5 Meagan’s, 2 pistols, 1 knife, 1 katana and 1 stumpy.

Sandman77 (whose picture looks like a supervillan) brought 1 Pete and 1 Jaun, each with otto’s, a dee w/ hamjack, and an Angela with a spray and pray. My commander had a pistol, his a hoo-rah.

I used bee-bomb and artillery. Not sure what Sandman used!

First move, I took the Market rocket zone with 4 of the Meagan’s. One I flanked to upper right (all directions henceforth assume my deployment zone is in the bottom right) alley. He moved in standard formation towards the zone, but gathered about 3 squares short.

My second move is basically the whole game. You will note from the screenshot that I have laid a huge minefield at his entrance, flanked him on the left with a mine and a meagan, flanked him on the right with another meagan a mine. The riskiest calculation was the placement of my katana meagan (prized) in the nook at his entrance. I calculated that it would probably die, but only if Sandman’s dee fired at point blank range, triggering a mine.

Surprising me, Sandman didn’t attack, but rather flanked his pete and medic to the left alley, and sent Juan to the right. He advanced his dee and commander just shy of the scoring zone. He deployed his shield, which set off a mine.


I used this break to retreat my katana meagan, but first I filed in the rest of the minefield at his entrance. I was able to destroy the deploy-shield on this turn with knife strikes and pistol shots. The two flanking meagan’s filled the sniper alley’s with mines and also retreated to safety.



Sandman starts stepping on mines…at least 3 blow up at the end of this move. The angela and the pete take a beating. Dee gets one too, damage to commander as well. On the right flank, the juan snaps one little shot at my meagan and heads back to the entrance.

Look for the exciting conclusion in part 2…

Sandman 2

At this point sandman has two man team trying to enter the scoring zone. The commander will detect, and the dee will defuse. Can’t have it. So, threw a bee bomb, artillery strike, and three Meagan’s until our katana queen rematerialized killing the dee out right and leaving the commander at deaths door.


Now comes the revenge of the sandman. Three of Meagan’s are sitting ducks after their all out charge. The otto’s bark and two die, helped off by the medic w spray n pray. Unfortunately, retreating the Pete/Angela fireteam hits another mine, putting both below 50%.


Now I had to something I regret; I bee bombed my own guy. I apologize, but it was required by the situation. That, an artillery strike, and rushing the right flank meagan all the way over to the left to add to the pistol shots kill the medic and leave around 30-40 points on the Pete. Juan is still lurking far from the entrance. I have two Meagan’s,left and my commander, which has stayed in the scoring zone.

In his turn he ghosts his pete, and keeps plugging away with Juan. I pepper Juan with pistol shots and try to position my Meagan’s in the hiddy holes around his entrance.


His Pete is back! pow pow go the otto’s, another meagan bites the dust. Its two on two for a second, till pete crumples before a barrage of pistol shot. I calculate that he can’t win now. His juan is too far away! Just to be sure, I position my last meagan to block the shortest path. Just to be really really sure, if somehow he finds the energy to kill her, she is standing on a mine.


Now we got a couple of days of “sitzkrieg” while sandman stewed:) he came back eventually and fired a few last futile shots and lost to take n hold–on move 5.
