Congrats to the winners
BEWARE, WALL OF TEXT :#
I need to say though, that I am a bit upset with the choice. Without trying to put any of the winners down, but from the edit they don’t really stick out as the top 3 for me.
I will let myself out of this because I don’t want to sound as if I am just jealous.
I think that exept for INFERNO no one of the 3 winners even changed the videospeed. Unless you have really good music-synchronization, which is not the case either, this is the most essential part about a FPS Edit.
Now ofc I see the synchro in the video of Sagan on Roids but it is not perfect and also the choice of a slow beat song for a quick game like Dirty Bomb is not the best.
Talking of music, Sagan on Roids used music which is protected with copyright (It isn’t even available in my country) and still he got on first place. It would have been nice, if you’d told us that this rule was repealed.
In addition there are strange video cuts in his video, for example at 0:34 . I can’t really see this as a first place video.
Please don’t get me wrong, Sagan on Roids and BOMBA’S gameplay itself is really nice and their kills might be the best from all the videos but on the level of videoediting they have a need for improvement.
I see srswizard (who sadly put his video down
) and fana in front of their videos because their edits are pretty well done. I think srswizard, INFERNO, fana would have been a decent choice.
I know that this contest was about epic kill videos and I understand that the jury chose videos with cool kills in them (which automaticly makes my edit worthless ^^), but for me the edit is also importaint. Not only is there more work behind it, good edits can also automaticly make their kills epic.
I hope you don’t take my words too hard. Again I didn’t want to declare any of those videos as bad, I just wanted to state my opinion so the next contest will be a blast
