Entity Leaked

Heyo, I sometimes get this message (entity leaked) when I put eg. bush models in the map which is kinda stupid since its rly hard to stop a bush from touching any brush >_>. It seems like this isnt really causing problems tho, but I just want to confirm it.

So the question is, do they cause bugs or visual problems when a model “leaks”? In the game it seems fine now but I dont want to see something going wrong after the map is done. Also, any way to stop it from leaking apart from separating it from the brushes? Can you make models detail like you do with brushes O_o?

Models leak when a misc_model’s origin is inside a structural brush. If it was misc_gamemodel it would dissapear. This doesn’t cause any bugs and it can be ignored.

No there’s not a way to make a model “detail” or anything. Only way to stop it is to make it so the origin is not inside a structural brush. I’d rather ignore it.

Alright, Ill ignore it then.

It was a misc_model, I dont really use misc_gamemodel for the fact that it disappears.

Anyone here got xfire? Would be easier to just ask from someone who knows rather than making thousand topics in here just to ask about some simple thing ><

I got yet another problem, I cant make the f***ing health/ammo cabinets work, or actually they do work but its as if some invisible barrier was blocking the playermodel from reaching it. If I jump above the cabinets I can get ammo or health, even from the sides, but when I try going from the front (like usual) it doesnt reach it -> therefor I cant get ammo/health. There is no clip brushes or anything blocking it so what the hell?

are your cabinets rotated by 45 angle?

is my xfire, for general mapping, shader, imaging questions. I’m not too great at the ET specific stuff such as mapscripts and the more complicated entities such as splines and stuff (complicated i.e. made specifically for ET, im sure their not that hard to learn but i havnt yet) so feel free to ask such questions.
