Okay, so I’ve been having this problem for a little while. Whenever I place a new entity into my map (func_explosive, func_door_rotating, func_static, etc), it will appear in gtkradiant but will not appear in-game. The game acts as if these entities exist in-game (for example, I can still dynamite the func_explosive’s, and open doors), but they are all invisible, as if the textures on them were not drawn for some reason. This problem only seems to occur with “func_” entities, since things like models, lights, and coronas still appear as normal. I hypothesize that perhaps it is because I have many entities in my map (1669 at the moment), but I’ve been told that maps like goldrush have well over 2000, so I’m not completely sure what might be causing this problem. Any help would be appreciated, and if you require screenshots or more info about the map, just ask.

does the func stuff work for you usually, or do you handle with them for the first time?

Possibly a misplaced or invalid origin. Maybe the origin brush/key is inside a structural wall. I’m not 100% sure if it causes missing with brushmodels but it does with misc_gamemodels atleast. If you don’t have an origin brush in the entity, try adding one and make sure it floats free without touching the walls. Doors and movers are a bit different story.
