enemy territory on mac

(stealth6) #1

I just got a new macbook, and I was trying to install enemy territory

I downloaded it from the link that is on the downloads page, and followed the instructions (put the enemy territory folder into the applications folder)

but when I click on the enemy territory icon I just hear a buzzing noise and everything freezes, I was to close the game through the task manager where it says it isn’t responding

Thanks for any help

I just wanna play ET on mac :frowning:

I downloaded the 2.60c installer I think thats the first one and I just followed the intall wizard thingy, then I got to applications / ET and I double click on it, then I see the wolf icon appears in the bar at the bottom and I hear a noise like the mouse keeps cliccking and everything goes slower. I have to stop it via the taskmanager what am I doing wrong or do I need a patch or so?

I also tried the 2.60d patch but same thing happens

ah I found others with the same problem, seems that one of the updates on leopard stopped the games from working, but they do work on parallells which I have so, I’m gonna fic that up tomorrow

Same problem here, fresh 10.5.4 instalation, ET 2.60c and getting stuck at game launch. I assumed that you run OSX version of ET, what does Parallels to do with it?? I have no win instalation on this comp.

BTW - can anyone explain me the situation with OSX versions of ET? There is 2.60b update and 2.60c full version on DL page, but sticky on forum with date January 2007 and link to version 2.60d. I expect the 2.60d be the newest, am I right? What version should be used on IntelMac?

thanx

2.60d is latest version, while Wolfenstein Enemy Territory 2.60-2.dmg is Intel Version

OK, “d” version is newest as expected, but why it is not on the main download page (http://www.splashdamage.com/downloads)?
And where can I download this “2.60-2.dmg”?
It is kinda confusing, that I have 3 ET fullgame images, first- few years old with ET 2.60b4 PPC application, another image 2.60c - with 2.60b4 Universal application from 13.1.2007 and last one - image 2.60d - with 2.60b4 Universal application from 20.1.2007.

I installed parallels and windows, and then ET,and…

(stealth6) #14

yea teh problem was I went straight from 2.55 to 2.60b cause the 2.60 link isnt on splashdamage download page =/

so it works, after I enabeled the directx on parallels, only thing that is a bit annoying is that the mouse acts wierd
