Enemy Territory Beta Release Maps

When the Beta version of ET came out it had a number of different maps that must have been cut from the final version. Some of the test maps where bropped and some where modified to the standard ones. There was a different version of Oasis and Fuel Dump but there are also (I think) two maps that never made it to the final (one had a big AA gun in a might mission and the other was sort of like Oasis but different). I could be wrong about these.

Has anyone thought about porting them over to ET proper. What would be the legalities behind this since they have been released as part of the beta (for free)

Just a thought. I don’t have the test version and don’t want to DL on my 56k.

Hmm, it appears that it only has one map. I never tested it but I remember when it was out and saw the screenshots which showed a number of different maps. Anyway, the one included map, from what I believe, was modified and ended up as fueldump. Probably not worth the effort trying to do anything with this, and yeah, it would need permission from SD before anything could happen.

It would be intersting to see the other maps that there are screenshots for. Maybe SD could release these to a few decent mappers to finish if they are any good.

The beta test contains only the map Fueldump as it is realeased now with ET.
I’ve also seen the pictures of the above mentioned maps.
But I think these maps has been single-player maps.

Beta of ET = Teh Current Fueldump only.
ET = What we have now.

ET Shots = Old Fueldump underwork during testing, Old Goldrush underwork and cant be arsed looking at rest of shots. If you do tho, you can see a few things have changed… eg, HUD. :}

My guess is the other maps (which looked very cool) lost focus when they moved ET to freeware.
