I was wondering what happens when you finish the story of brink, are you going to have to replay the game again and again if you want to play more or are there going to be muti-player maps available after you finish the game play? Or is there possibility of downloadable content at a later date?

i guess, you mean muLtiplayer maps. the special thing about brink is, when you finished the singleplayer campaign, you can jump into multiplayer and play it again with your friends coop against bots, or you can play it against humans. or you can play the campaign again singleplayer to level your character. what suits you best.
i suggest you read a few posts here and of course the FAQ. will help you a lot. lots of questions are already answered here and in the FAQ.

You can try W:ET and ET:QW to get a sense of how much replay value the maps in a SD game have.
The singleplayer maps are the multiplayer maps and the other way around.

A good way to look at it is how left 4 dead has a “singleplayer” campaign which is exactly the same campaign as played in multiplayer and coop - the only difference is that computer controller players are replaced by human ones.
I think brink is the same, the singleplayer isnt the tradional “your the center of the world” singleplayer but more like a multiplayer with computer controlled players and a storyline.
