Elite Cases, Should u get them?

Hey, just wanted to share what i got form my cases and what happened.

So after buying 10 Elite cases i got 10 Silver cards.
Went to exchange them for a Gold Fragger. Got the Card i already had, (Battle Rifle Fragger Gold)
Then i was like… FML… i decided to make another Golden Fragger and got the same card<3

Now i’m waiting for a system to make cobalt and then waste all my golden cards for a Cobalt fragger with the same shitty gun.

Hope this was enough information wether to get Elite cases or not.

It’s a slot machine with no in-game benefit outside of colors. So, yeah, it’s up to you whether or not that kind of RNG is worth it. I can’t believe they’ve attached such a massive price to something that is purely RNG but as long as it’s cosmetic only I don’t really care.

So Silver, Gold, and Cobalt cards are “useless” if you already have a bronze card?

Well, they are of equal use. They just look shinier :slight_smile:

But yeah, having the Bronze instead of the Silver/Gold/Cobalt will play exactly the same.

They are cosmetic only. So depending on your view dictates whether going for them is useless or not. They are identical to the Bronze cards though. So the same loadout you get with Bronze you can get in Silver, Gold and Cobalt…but the latter three give you different gun colors and merc skins.

They are there to identify people who cash. Imo Cobalt looks ugly as night and golden isn’t really that golden. I like the snow camo on guns of silver cards.

The way their micro transaction model is it is too pricy for me to get these more flashy cards. If I had a aay I would cut the prices by half maybe, similar too Csgo, and Tf2’s micro transaction models for keys /cases.

The simple answer is no. The changes in overall looks is extremly minimal, not worth the money. Not even worth crafting up to. Costs 54k I believe to get 1 random gold card which will most likely not be the one you are looking for. Instead you can buy a new merc or 3 bronze loadout cards for any of the already unlocked mercs.

The higher cards needs an overhaul. Made more estetically pleasing for them to be worth it and lower the price by 99.99%. Maybe then someone other than a person sitting on a pile of money will buy it or find worth in buying it.

I prefer the red camo that gold gives, and Cobalt isn’t all that bad either imo.

I guess I just don’t get how the same company that produced the incredible looking outfits and models for brink has so little creativity when it comes to the models in db. I mean, the skullmask skyhammer is by far the coolest and most easy to recognise card. The gold/cobalt colors basically just make the characters glow it sucks. Why not have really regular drab looking bronze models and amazing detailed different looking/advanced looking equipment at the higher levels. Stuff like patches, masks, helmets, shoulder spikes on rhino etc

Yeah, Honestly i don’t care that i got all silvers.
i just wanted atleast a good fragger with the end result, now i have 2 more gold fraggers of the same stats that i already got from a normal loadout case.

Further than that i do agree that elite cases are quite expensive in current state, The reason i bought them was for Gold skins (RED&GOLD) and helping the creators of dirty bomb even though 35 Euro isn’t much for them i think. whatever i feel good about it haha

If you want to support the game, spend your $ on the MERCs you want to play and the exact loadout card you wish to use in bronze form

If you want RNG silver/gold cards get them via tradeups using only credits and random case drops

Dunno about Cobalt but I really hate the Gold Vasilli I got out of a normal case. The skin constantly looks as they I’m being heartbeat sensored. Planning on downgrading it to the Bronze copy when I’m floating in credits.

I know… But i’d rather farm Credits to buy the mercs, and Spend real cash on the cards
i don’t like bronze cards because i hate the green skins.

I only liked the gold skins hence i bought Elite cases. to try make atleast 1 Golden fragger with a good gun (Br-16) sucks imo. but instead i got it 3 times now :stuck_out_tongue:
