Elimination Mode ?

elimination mode 2-16 players join the game eliminate each others and the last player who survive will be the winner and server will be from 10 rounds ore more … here’s the rules

1 - the player who won most of the rounds will be the final winner

2 - if there’s gonna be a draw with rounds won with more than 1 player then it’s gonna depend on the player who has most kills

3 - if there’s gonna be draw on kills too then it’s gonna depend on the player who has the higher XP

4 - 1 death per round , unless you are a phoenix :smiley: :smiley:

5- there’s gonna be leaderboard for the 1st , 2nd and 3rd place

If you want a mode based on kills, I rather have a deathmatch one with:

  • Faster respawn timer
  • Match ends based on a timer/number of kills
  • Dedicated map(s)

I am not a huge fan of this but sometimes I can understand that you don’t want to think much and just kill people.

It is very unlikely we will ever see a straight-up TDM or Deathmatch gamemode in Dirty Bomb, because all mercs have abilities, and one of those abilities is people being better at objectives. This means any future gamemodes would definitely have some element of an objective in it.

I find something like Last Man Standing will have the same kind of problems that Execution has in a game, such as Dirty Bomb. Game-modes like that work FAR better in a slower paced FPS that is tense and gripping to watch once you are out, because that is what a large amount of players will be doing - watching, because they are out for the rest of the round.

The chaotic and fast-paced nature of Dirty Bomb really doesn’t suit these kinds of game-modes at all, and it’s one of the main reasons I do not play Execution.

Another major problem is mercs are not balanced for this kind of game-mode, because there are mercs with abilities that make them better at objectives, while others are better at support, etc. You would almost never see those mercs played in a game-mode like this. It might be a little better if it was Last Team Standing, but even then it removes the whole objective focus from the game, and it’s definitely not something Splash Damage want to do.

And finally, that “best player” screen would not work like it does in BL:R. Dirty Bomb does not allow the same kind of customisation as BL:R does, so it would be relatively poinless looking at 3 Fraggers on the screen (because let’s face it, who in their right mind would use any other merc in this game mode) with some fancy loadout cards on. It just isn’t the same :frowning:

not TDM it’s everyone on he’s own 1 vs 1 it’s called elimination so the 16 players fight each other and the last man standing will be the winner but it seems u guys don’t like the idea so it’s ok

SD have already confirmed no TDM and last man standing its a heavily team based game

What would be the purpose of medics like Sparks? Some mercs would be way OP and others way UP. The game isn’t balanced around this concept.

Execution team eliminate the other team but on this mode eliminate each others and have different rules so , no it’s not based on Execution

The game is too unbalanced for this kind of mode. Certain classes just slay harder. I don’t ever see it working.

Yes for the uh… Little end screen there. Showing the 3 MVPs of the match. Would be an interesting touch although for the rest… negative.

You dont like it? Dont play it. Others want it, accept it pls.

Damn, the game would have a lot of potential with SDK etc. Remember the glorious times where people could do the mods of their liking? You could always have knife only server, or whatever. There are not many that want to do it, but its a nice change of pace allowing to break away from the numb objective grind.

Would be nice if I could change the mod and not the whole game after having enough of the same over and over.

With the amount of explosive spam via Skyhammers, Kiras, etc. and Rhino minigun camping, as well as other merc abilities, it may not work for this type of game. A person can very well just camp in a spot, wait for everyone in an open area to fight each other, gather them in one area, and boom. Additionally, some merc abilities and even the mercs themselves(here’s looking at you Vasilli) in a mode as such would be rendered useless for solo type play, such as healer defibs. New maps would have to be created from the ground up with fair spawn points at random locations. A bit too much time would have to be dedicated to that where other modes like execution(my favorite mode) need more maps urgently.

I use to play H1Z1 Battle Royale quite a bit, so I understand the appeal of a last man standing mode, as well as having an Unreal Tournament background w/ deathmatches. With DB I just can’t see it working unless major tweaks and overalls are made. It’s not a bad idea though, so something in the spirit of it could work in the future, but who knows.

there’s no camp spamming or anything like that there’s gonna be random spawn points on the map ur goal is finding others and eliminate them and there’s gonna be a timer if it’s over the 1 who has most kills will win

and remember guys this is new mode not like objective modes cuz until now all modes in DB is objective ( plant and defuse ) but this 1 is different

and if u don’t like the idea of random spawn points then it’s gonna be spawn point with protection inside a small circle once u go out of the circle 1 time no more protection for the player … but remember u can’t stay inside the circle 4ever limit time inside the circle is 10 sec or more ore less :smiley:

I would rather it be more like FFA with a target and time limit than another 1 life per round. That just slows the game down.
I think that Dirty Bomb Devs should focus on creating slightly more unique gamemodes that define Dirty Bomb (like objective is currently).
