Efficacy of latest Brink update?

(advocacy) #1

According to the game developers, they have made a configuration change for 360 players which should result in less lag.

Has anyone received the patch? Has it significantly diminished the lag of online matches? What about the graphics issues, have they been resolved already?

still the same amount of lag, graphic issue is still the same, and for some reason now i can’t join any of my friends games because it always gets a timeout error

In short… some people still having issues. Some people had their issues resolved. Some are worse then they were. AKA the norm when a patch comes out.

What we need to concentrate on here is the fact that the patch was delivered so quickly. If SD keep up with this pace, then the game will soon be up to par on every platform.

A better way to remove lag xbox360 is ask Microsoft to implement dedicated server support.

(Nail) #6

that would be the best way for all concerned, developers and customers

Regarding dedicated server support, I don’t think it is Micorsoft’s call. Shouldn’t Splash Damage initiate action for this, since they developed the game?

I’d go to the Xbox 360 right now if I thought it would somehow convince Microsoft to have dedicated servers for Brink, but that may not be the case.

Just keep playing in the Competitive play list. I still find good games there all the time.

Still getting some lag and having problems finding full games but with the speed SD are getting patches out it should be fixed soon!

Am I the only one who realized that if I see Big Team Battle where there wasn’t one before, that something updated without having an update/patch? It was a super sneaky one, obviously it didn’t fix all the problems, but at least they’re trying.

(DazTroyer) #11

Its a configuration change in the menus for us to select the max number of human players? So if Big Team battle lags choose a lower max player game. I found Old School (think it was that one) with max 5 vs 5 not that laggy at all last night. Hardly any teleport rubbish. Will give it a try later, looking like its beach weather today.
