Easygen terrain question...

(Venom) #1

i have just started using easgen but i have a question. after i have already made my terrain and exported it as a .map and opened it in radient i want to make stuff under the ground but it is solid. i mean i want to make like trenches and stuff but i cant just cut away part of the ground to put it in. i also wanted a little ladder hole to go to an underground building but i cant get a hole for trenches or a ladder without deleting the entire ground. Or say i wanted to put a building kind of inside a hill but the entrance would be blocked by the terrain. is there a way i can like clear away part of the ground to put stuff there?

thanks

when you export your terrain, check the thin mesh box. it’ll make the terrain a layer instead of a big solid chunk. then you’ll have to delete individual pieces of the terrain individually as far as i’m aware to cut holes in it.

i re-exported it with the mesh thing. now how do i select little parts without selecting the whole thing?
