This has probably been asked before but have had no luck with a search, I have tried installling the ET templates for easygen but they dont show on the list when i try to export my terrain?

Forget them, u don’t need them… just use the q3map2-option.
If you want landmines, you better edit your shader manually and put them in where you really want them.
And, yes you are right, this has been asked LOTS of times before.
