EasyAntiCheat Update - Bug Megathread

Hey all!

We’ve just made the switch to our new Anticheat solution, EasyAntiCheat. There are bound to be teething issues as it settles in, so if you’re experiencing anything… untoward… please let us know right here! As we’ve mentioned, third party crosshairs may not work, but if there’s anything else we want to know, so telling us which third party software you’re running may help too. Our QA team will be cruising this thread and we’ll be working with Easy to improve the system.

Before you make a post please do a quick check to see if anyone else has reported the issue you have experienced. If so, simply up-vote their comment and we’ll know the severity of issues.


Format bug reports: When putting a bug into the comments below make sure that you give us as much information as you can. If you can remember any of the events leading up to the issue it can help us find the cause quicker.

I had first try on this as soon as the update finished.

I felt it was seamless, however, Glorious 1.16 fps is still glorious. Same symptoms are experienced in approximately 30mins of gameplay (full length stopwatch).

Please check this thread for details, less BlackCipher.aes.

first time i tried it after the update, i had improved fps and map loading times, i played one round then the game froze and crashed on me, had to reboot PC as task manager couldnt load over the dirty bomb screen and i could shift tab away from it, however after reboot i managed to play without any hastle for about an hour so all-in-all looks good to me bout time NGS vanished :slight_smile:

You can still use PlayClaw. I’ve just set it up for myself and it works fine.

Windowed mode isn’t working correctly. After the update, my settings, or at least my window settings appear to have reset. However, after further examination, nothing has changed, but the window is showing up too large and it’s also a bit fuzzy and washed out rather than clear. I play on 16:9, 1600x900, Windowed Mode.

I currently cannot play because none of the windowed mode options are available as they’re all improperly sized. Entering full screened mode fixes the fuzziness issue, but the screen is too big for me to play. I play on a TV and prefer the window for my games to be a bit smaller so I don’t strain my eyes and get headaches.

Specs:
CPU: AMD FX6300
Mobo: MSI 970 Gaming
RAM: 8 gb 1866
GPU: AMD R9 280
HDD: 1TB WD Blue
Drivers are up to date.

Hey Pinflux! Some users in the Steam Forums are reporting both better FPS and no more microstuttering, but some are encountering “Error 30005,” which seems to have affected Paladins users too. http://steamcommunity.com/app/333930/discussions/0/135509124601111596/

while we are on the subject how come on the main website under community tab, you have Twitter, instagram, Youtube, Facebook, Twitch BUT NO STEAM COMMUNITY the guys there do a great job helping the community it’s a shame they are not in the community section on the website

Nice to hear about crosshair adjustments, but I’d like the ability to disable the dot, leaving only the cross portion of the crosshair. In addition, crosshair modification for the sniper scopes would be nice; the ability to remove the central black dot and replace it with the typical crosshair would work nicely.

My Mumble overlay isnt working now. I really like having custom crosshairs.

I’m going nuts trying to flip switches to see if a glimmer of hope that I am wrong about things and hope that I can defeat Glorious 1.16fps with new EAC.

Mate sais I’m fighting the wrong war :’(

gotta be something outside the game if you’re the only one with this exact prob, not you doing something wrong, just a process interfering, not sure if you’ve done a full OS reinstall, but it was the only thing that let me run Brink after years of every thing else tried, including harassing SD to death. only if all else fails sort of thing
